Tammy is AMAZING at what she does. She cares so much for all animals and you can tell she loves what she does by the way she is with the dogs. Our dogs love going there and get so excited as soon as we turn the corner onto her property (as shown in the photos!). Both dogs are rescues and have some high needs including anxiety and they both love Tammy to death. They are always tired when we pick them up as they been enjoying the outside the entire time they've been there. My husband and I know we can always enjoy our vacation knowing they are in excellent hands. The place is always well kept and pickup/drop off is well organized in order to ensure the all the dogs staying there don't get too worked up and that is appreciated. We will never bring our dogs anywhere else.

We have been boarding our dogs since they opened & have been completely happy with the care. Our first dogs were Great Danes, now Irish Wolfhounds and a rescue. We feel any negative comments are completely inaccurate. They get exercised and taken of above and beyond. All of our dogs get out of our van and go inside with no hesitation, they come home well taken care of, fed and happy. We have always left contact phone numbers in case of an emergency and there have been no emergencies. So inclusion, we feel that our dogs are in safe hands and know they will be treated as family.

I had my 2 dogs stay with Tammy for one month in summer while on a family trip. While away I contacted her and she left me know how they where doing.She really loves what she does and it shows. She was amazing with my dogs and i would highly recommend to take care of your furrry babies.

My dog can be difficult to get along with, and had not done well at other kennels in the past. Care-a-dog is perfect for him - always the same people looking after him, and no mixing directly with other dogs. I'm always mildly offended that he seems more excited to get to the kennel than to see me when I return!

In regards to the negative comments about pickup times, I haven't had a problem with this. Yes, you have to pre-book drop-off and pickup times, but I have always found them to be accommodating if I need to change my plans. I don't find this to be much of an inconvenience, and it's nice not to have a bunch of dogs all walking in the door at the same time.

It's not as 'flashy' a kennel as some - there isn't the option of remotely watching your pet from home, or fancy grooming services or swimming pools, but I know when Mortimer goes there he will have a good time and be well looked after - and that's what counts! The rates are also quite reasonable.

Mortimer and I definitely recommend Care-A-Dog 🙂

I had to find a doggy daycare program for my active border-collie mix that I adopted during the covid shut-down when I went back to the office twice a week. After taking him for a couple of times, he had the route memorized; and now when we turn down the road towards the kennel - he goes absolutely bananas with excitement to see his friend Tammy. Now I work exclusively from home and I still take Finn twice a week to spend the day with Tammy. Tammy is absolutely an animal person - and it's obvious to her loyal patrons that she puts the safety and well-being of her furry guests as her top priority. Finn is NOT a people person by any means - and if he is excited to see Tammy before we even get there, then I absolutely trust her with my most precious baby boy. My favourite part of my Tuesdays and Fridays is hearing Tammy make small talk with Finn as she brings him inside - where he goes willingly. It's absolutely precious. Thanks Tammy!

We and our dog absolutely love Care-A-Dog Bed and Biscuit. They came recommended from our trainer and have not disappointed. Our dog, a Burnese Mountain Dog, gets excited as soon as we roll down the driveway. He is pulling on the leash on the way in and cannot wait to have a fun sleepover. The first time, he was very nervous and Tammy the owner sat with him until he felt safe with her and took him for a nice walk. Our dog loves Tammy like an aunt. When our dog had to have emergency surgery, which was hugely traumatic for our family, it happened right before he was meant to stay here. We had to cancel his planned stay at Care-A-Dog, at the last minute. Tammy was so understanding and didn't charge us anything and was only worried about him! She even asked if we were okay and empathized and was so compassionate towards us and how hard it was. She spent the time listening to me sharing our scare, even after she was losing money due to the cancelation. Her love of animalrs is amazing. !f you're looking for a hoity toity fancy spa type place, this is not for you. But, if you're looking for a place with fresh country air, where a dog can run around and get dirty in a safe and stimulating environment; where a dog will get exercise, nurturing, and attention. where a dog can be spoiled with love, and for a place that will become a part of your dog's family, then look no further. We absolutely are so grateful for our experience at Care-A-Dog. They are the best!

We have been boarding our dogs with Tammy at Care-A-Dog since 2008. Tammy is a true animal lover who takes the responsibility of looking after her four-legged guests very seriously. She knows the little quirks and preferences of our pups by heart, and has made an effort to do so since day one. Our dogs always return to us happy, well-adjusted, clean, and well-exercised after a stay at Care-A-Dog. Even having moved away from London, we still opt to bring our pups to stay with Tammy, so that we are able to have the peace of mind knowing that "the boys" (as Tammy calls them) are having just as much fun on their vacation as we are. We highly recommend this boarding facility.
