We read about 2 Bengals that came in from a horrible situation and ended up adopting them. We love in Edmonton, and the Central Alberta Humane Society made the adoption process a breeze. They even loaned us one of their carriers, since one of them was fiesty on her way to our home. Meet Felix and Penny ( formerly known and Pharoah and Medusa )

Staff was very Friendly and Helpful , I called to inquire what size of bed to get for the Dog named Cooper that we coming to meet the next day. We had already decided we were going to bring him home with us. Meeting him in the outside fenced area was just awesome and the staff that helped us. Would recommend this facility. Good job everyone!

We had a disappointing visit to the Central Alberta SPCA recently. We started by visiting the cats, which was fine but things took a weird turn when we went into a room to see a puppy. While we were playing with him, one of the staff members abruptly yanked the dog away without saying anything.

It felt awkward, but we moved on to the next room. We then went into another room where a dog was clearly excited to see us, but the same staff member came in and told us we couldn’t be there unless we worked there, saying it was too stressful for the dogs. (Both dogs were clearly excited to have visitors)

It’s hard to see how this kind of interaction helps animals find homes. It just makes you feel unwelcome and less likely to adopt.

They have 3 cat rooms where you can sit in there and enjoy hanging out with cats. Best therapy ever, and it’s help to socialize the adoptable animals. I will definitely be coming back again to chill with the kitties!

Thank you Central Alberta Humane Society for helping finding a new cat to replace who I lost. I was hoping I could go on walks with him like I did with Pipster, I have walked twice with Pete (orange kitty) since bringing him home yesterday, he's fantastic at it, many cats simply can not be trained, but Pete is a pro. He's adapting to his new home very well, I'm sure we are going to do great together

Adopted a sweet chonk-puddy from them a few weeks back. They put a lot of work into making sure their animals are well taken care of and get adopted out to good homes.

We were looking to adopt 2 cats. Everyone else I contacted was not very helpful. We contacted Central Alberta and went on the same day as we sat with the cats. Front staff gave us their story. We picked 2 and went back the next day and brought them home.
They are great and are a great fit for us.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love going to hang out with the cats. Most of them are generally friendly, and we are typically there once a week. All the staff/volunteers we’ve interacted with have always been very friendly.
