Fabio and his crew are phenomenal people. Fabio came the same day I contacted them. Within 2 hrs I'd say. I explained my situation and my short time line to have the job completed. He's very relatable and understanding. He's also so concise, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and explains things so well that he puts your mind at ease.
Access to our property is limited but they knew how to negotiate the tight spaces to get the excavator in the property without any issues or damage to the property.
We met on a Friday and his crew were excavating on the following Wednesday. They discovered a 2nd tank and took care of that removal as well. The crew did an amazing job and without any damage to our manicured garden/lawn and zen garden.
Upon receiving a clean report from the lab on the soil analysis, CERC returned to backfill. Then on the top layer they carefully and meticulously laid crushed rock over the tank area, and top soil on the lawn area, as I had requested. Upon completion the area looked as though they were never here and that we're just reseeding the lawn.
Great price in the end that matched his quotation, although 2nd tank added an additonal cost but that's expected of course. Extremely happy that we chose CERC!!

Good co-ordination with Method Environmental (soil testing). It's a pretty messy process, but they made it bearable.

Have you ever been so pleased that you looked forward to paying the bill? We were. Let me tell you why…

We are building a new home and when we excavated our site, we found a buried tank that had badly leaked. As you can imagine, this was a nightmare situation with an un-budgeted expense to deal with. Initially another company was hired by our builder and their costs were extremely high to the point where the ongoing remediation compromised our ability to even build our home. This was a big job and a mess and we were devastated. We put a stop to the digging while we figured out what to do.

We got Fabio's name from a realtor friend and we called him to come and look at the excavation area and quote us on finishing the job. As you can imagine, we were extremely stressed out over all of this. Fabio was compassionate toward our situation, eased our concerns and provided a proposal that worked for us. CERC were able to finish the job with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency. As a result of their effort, we were able to resolve this issue without giving up on our plans to build our dream home.

Why I'd recommend CERC to everyone:

- At no point did I ever get the impression that CERC was out to make a fortune on the job or take advantage of us. It was the opposite, they were genuinely willing to help.

- The pricing was very fair and very competitive based on only doing what is necessary

- The communication was clear and constant and they insisted that we monitor the job

- They were effective and efficient in their work

- They were kind, friendly and considerate on the job site.

- They were quick to clean up and ensure proper safety.

- They were great to work with in every way.

Please beware who you call if you find an oil tank on your property - there are a lot of companies that will take advantage of these types of situations and quite frankly, price gouge. Not so with CERC! We wish we called Fabio on day one. You have to call CERC first! They will help you with a level of integrity that I have rarely seen from a business.

We had CERC remove a tank that was buried next to our Burnaby house. They reviewed the site and provided a quote which was very reasonable so we later called them in to do the work.

I was impressed with the way they removed the tank as we had a post that was supporting a balcony close to where the tank was being dug up. The removal crew were careful to ensure that the post remained supported by earth so that it didn't collapse. After the tank was removed they placed fencing around the hole to ensure safety. After the backfill they cleaned up the area nicely.

My experience with CERC has been very positive, i would happily use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

After all was said and done I must say that I’m happy I did. Fabio was excellent in taking the time to thoroughly assess the site logistics and to then explain the removal options available. When it came down to doing the job, his crew arrived as scheduled, (which I have found from my past contractor dealings to be not always be the case) and promptly prepared the site for the work ahead. His crew was professional, courteous and performed the work, as agreed upon. Once the tank was removed and the hole backfilled, they cleaned up the area and left nothing behind. All in all a great big thanks to Fabio and the CERC crew, who made what I thought was going to be a very stressful and expensive experience quite bearable.
