A playful and well thought out plaza style skate park, hips banks QP's and ledges gaps that offer a wide variety of options if you can deal with the seasonal Harsh weather, skaters have been know to dig it out of the snow because no public indoor skateboarding infrastructure exists.

A nice park all together, they are currently working on some of the playground equipment so alot of it is fenced off, but there is lots of green space, plenty of great benches, and a good community of families is the area frequenting it.

The skatepark is also pretty good, not a skater myself but there are often a good handful of folks using the skate park and having a good time with it, often chatting and making friends there aswell together, not the most equipped skatepark but a good bit of variety for just casual use.

One strong note in particular I really like the benches built into the black metal fence on either side of the main gate, its a very cool way to make the fence feel less like a barrier by having the bars bend into the shape of benches.

Sweet low-key skatepark. Jimmy was able to land his trick and everyone was able to go home happy. Got some great local recommendations - everyone was super friendly.

Bryce says that the locals need to work on a more welcoming culture, but every skateboarder/bmxer knows how irritating it is to have a 5yo on a scooter "doing what she wants". The unwritten rules of a skatepark are there for everyone's safety and enjoyment, Bryce. Please try bringing your daughter to a baseball field and letting her play on the diamond, or a curling rink and letting her play in the house, and see if the baseball players or curlers get irritated. There's a reason locals get annoyed with people bringing their little children and leaving them unsupervised to ride against the flow and cut off others when it's not their turn.

Very nice skate park!! Met a local guy - chatted with him. Best times to go are in the mornings (if you have smaller kids) - as it can get quite busy later on in the day! Park isnt all spray painted up with stupidity and the people that were skateboarding were super chill and tolerant of the little kids an their scooters. Very impressed for a skate park so close to downtown...

The regulars need to work on a more welcoming culture, but hey what can you expect. Luckily my five year old daughter has a fearless attitude to do what she wants. Plus, Thursday nights are saved for girls 4 and up.
