We’ve been here once before and the food was great, same with the pricing. We tried to go again today during their “open” hours but they were closed up with no sign letting us know why they were closed today. We tried to call twice and no one answered but we were parked out front and could see someone inside. If you’re going to be closed during your business hours I truly feel like you should put up a sign letting customers know, or at least answer the phone? This experience was enough to lose our business.

I recently discovered Chef’s Choice Authentic Restaurant in Castlegar while out with friends for Lady’s night, and I’m so glad I did. Not only is their food fantastic, but they also offer a catering service, which I took advantage of for Christmas dinner. We had a full roasted turkey dinner with all the trimmings cooked in my home which was delicious. Chef Gerard and Holly are very professional and super friendly. This was the easiest Christmas Day I’ve ever had, I highly recommend their catering services 5/5 stars. Thanks again Holly & Gerard

Having moved to Castlegar less than two weeks ago, I was still getting my bearings of where to have great meals on the fly, from breakfast to lunch. During my stroll around town I came across this wonderful spot where right from the first time I walked in, Holly greeted me with a smile. She instantly made me feel at home. She took her time to go through the menu with me, with earnest care. If you’re looking for stellar homemade delicious meals, come here! The menu is extensive, rotating and always top-shelf. This is the Choice!

We had a cheese burger Calzone, Hot beef kaiser with red Thai curry soup. Everything tasted very good and was served fast and hot. Castlegar is lucky to have this hidden Gem!

Living in the downtown core of Castlegar it can be difficult to find affordable, healthy meal choices. There is a ton of variety and the hours are perfect.

I would feel selfish not recommending this hidden gem in Castlegar. I went casually a couple times for a quick bite to eat and it quickly became a family favourite. The calzones, meat pies, Philly beef dip, hot dogs, Chilli.... there's nothing we haven't tried that we haven't become instantly addicted to. Everything is well made, proportioned and at a very reasonable price accompanied with warm welcoming service.
Thanks for being one of our favourite lunch spots downtown.. heck, even all of Castlegar ! Wish you were open weekends but it's definitely a treat during the week!

While on a vacation in Castlegar this little eatery was strongly suggested to us. We did eat in and food was great but we also got take out another day. The jamaican patties - the spicy wasn't too spicy so try it, the chicken curry bowl and butter chicken bowl. All very tasty and filling. We also saw them at the market and indulged in the bacon cinamon bun. YUMMY and affordable prices. Thanks Holly & Chef

My friend raved about the food here and he was absolutely right!
All the bread, buns and pastries are freshly made that day, the weekly special hotdogs are to die for, and the cinnamon buns have me addicted!
The owners are very nice as well.
I would give 5+ stars if I could!
