Our family recently welcomed home our puppy, Yogi, and we are already amazed by his intelligence, energy, and eagerness to please. As first-time owners of this breed, we dedicated months to researching it, which included consulting reputable breeders. Citywide immediately stood out for their transparency and commitment to quality. Their website provides detailed pedigree information, and we were impressed to learn that all their sires and dams are OFA-certified for hip and elbow dysplasia, ensuring healthy lineage and exceptional genetics.

Mauro and his team are professional and very approachable. They have been readily available to answer questions and provide guidance, making us feel supported every step of the way. On pickup day, Mauro conducted a thorough Q&A session, sharing valuable insights on puppy care, training, and nutrition, which left us confident and well-prepared to welcome Yogi home.

Although we didn’t have a chance to visit before pickup day, on arrival, the facility and kennel was impressive and well-maintained. You could tell all the dogs are well cared for and have ample space for socialization and enrichment.

We picked up our new puppy, Ziva, yesterday. Mauro is a pleasure to deal with and his kennel is outstanding! We have had other German shepherds over the years, along with other breeds, but this is by far the best set up, best run, best organized, and cleanest we have ever experienced! From the time we first met Mauro to the day we picked up our puppy he has been terrific, easy to communicate with, answered every question almost immediately and has been very helpful with advice and recommendations! The dogs are all amazing and the pups have great temperaments! We would highly recommend Mauro to anyone who wants to adopt a quality German shepherd to join your family!

We got our German Shepherd from Citywide German Shepherds and honestly couldn’t be happier. From the day we came to the kennel they were super nice, answered all our questions, and really made the whole process easy. You can tell their dogs are raised with love, our pup came home healthy, playful, and really friendly. I’ve been waiting my whole life for a German Shepherd Dog, and unfortunately for me it had to wait for my retirement years. The day finally came when I picked up my little boy, Max. I spent considerable time searching for a breeder and started off with 10 contenders; might be a little “over-the-top” but that’s just the kind of person I am. As I continued to conduct my research into each breeder and reach out to each asking questions, Citywide readily moved to the top of my list. In very short order, Citywide became my #1 choice. I reached out to Mauro and found him to be a very courteous, professional, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable person who is always direct to the point. Anytime I have a question, I could text him and receive a prompt reply, ALWAYS. Mauro would accommodate my repeated requests to come visit, see his dogs (who are the most beautiful GSD’s I’ve ever seen) and continue to answer the never-ending list of questions I’d come in with. We’d sit at the table and Mauro would patiently answer all of them. I was amazed at what I saw when he gave me the initial tour of his facility, very impressive, but that’s no surprise with Mauro. I truly want to thank Mauro and Citywide for the exceptional experience and continued support as Max and I embark on a new chapter in our lives. Looking back, if I was able to start this journey 40 or 50 years ago, all my boys would be Citywide boys. I strongly suggest anyone looking for a GSD to conduct your research, but I’m 110% confident you’ll land on Citywide and know you’ve made the right decision.

UPDATE: Well, my boy Max just turned 13 weeks old this week. You wouldn’t think so given how big he’s grown and so fast! Everything is coming into place now, he lets us know when he needs to go potty, we’ve only had a few accidents since he joined the family and that’s to be expected. We’ve started our daily walks and trips to Homedepot as part of our socialization regime and there is one thing that is 100% consistent every time we’re out in public. He draws attention from EVERY person who sees him, and they all say the exact same thing, “Ooooh, he’s so cute!!”, “He’s adorable”, “OMG, he’s going to be big!”. Ain’t that the truth! Just the other day, I was walking Max in my neighborhood and 2 cars on separate occasions stopped in the middle of the street to say, “Beautiful German Shepherd, he’s gorgeous” and “Best GSD I’ve ever seen”. Everyone in my household is head over heals with my boy. My sincere thanks to Citywide German Shepherd’s for the ongoing support, it’s truly appreciated.

From the very first time we reached out to Mauro at Citywide German Shepherds, he shared so much knowledge and insight about German Shepherds which was invaluable for us as a young family. Visiting his dogs and litters on several occasions showed us just how much love and dedication he pours into his breeding program.

Mauro made everything easy and reassuring, guiding us every step of the way. We were ecstatic to bring our perfect shepherd puppy home. Sadly, our toddler developed allergies, and we were faced with the heartbreaking decision to return our puppy. Through this very difficult time, Mauro showed true compassion and understanding. He prioritized our family’s needs, treated us with kindness, and made us feel like part of his own family.

Although we couldn’t keep our puppy, Mauro quickly found her a wonderful new home. His integrity, values, and genuine care shone through every step of the way. We cannot recommend Mauro and Citywide German Shepherds enough, and we hope one day to return when circumstances allow.

We just picked up our Puppy from Mauro on January 12th. The entire process from when I first reached out, to getting our puppy was smooth. Mauro is incredibly informative, fair and honest about his dogs and if they belong in your life. We had just recently lost our 12 year old dog a few months before meeting Mauro, and he said that we could put our name in, but highly suggested that we take the time to process and heal from our loss.
Once we decided to go with citywide, which was honestly a no brainer after you meet Mauro and his dogs, I started to deal with Maria, who is the most kind and patient woman to talk to. She dealt with every single one of my questions, and was understanding every time.
And now our puppy, we are so in awe of how smart, fun and beautiful he is. You can tell that he comes from great lines, and from someone who genuinely cares about his dogs. Even after the fact, Mauro checks in and is open to answering any questions or concerns you have.
We feel so incredibly lucky and would recommend him to anyone, and deal with him again ourselves without any hesitation.

From the moment I visited I knew I was going to get my German Shepherd from Citywide. The facility is professional, clean and overall top notch. All his dogs on site are in great shape and you just know that these guys know their stuff. From the initial telephone conversation with Maria to meeting Mauro the Breeder and all interactions in between were great. They are very knowledgeable about the breed itself and always picked up the phone and gladly answered all my questions. I finally picked up my new German Shepherd pup this morning and so far she is amazing. If you are considering a German Shepherd, I strongly and without a doubt recommend Citywide.
