French Canadian born and raised in Ottawa, recently deemed a senior. Sigh... Salt and pepper were the spices of preference growing up in my family but "Now that I'm an adult now" lol - I like trying new things. I've been to Damas at least a dozen times. They need more space, they need to upgrade but I have never felt uncomfortable going there, being there, looking around or asking questions. I've never felt demeaned or disrespected. And based on the items I've purchased I find their prices quite reasonable.

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Abu Hamza for always giving me a good laugh when I come to Damas. The meat is always fresh, his character is charming and makes my day, and his genuine good character that may be misunderstood sometimes, he's the reason I come here often. The cashiers are also always lovely and everyone is general. That you to the owners, all the staff, for servicing our community and being open 365 days a year. I come here a lot and recently they added this small bread along side their traditional circular bread that they have at the counter. Its absolutely delicious and when i come around i always make sure to buy it. Please keep making this bread (in addition to your simit and circular bread) its amazing

I have been shopping at Damas Super Market for a long time. Especially in the last three months, the bakery department has started to produce very nice products. Acma, poaca and especially katmer are very delicious. Thank you to whoever makes these delicious products.
