A neat little local operation. Great plant variety in the Spring and Summer. Food options change from time to time. The baked goods are excellent. They have a chocolate gluten free and dairy free cookie which is amazing!

I just want a front load this review with the caveat that has a plant-based human being I do not condone places that don't have a variet y plant-based options.
That's a discretionary piece but I do want to comment on what is offered. Let's start off with the great. You're amongst plants and other lovely bubbling people drinking coffee in an environment that's inviting and hipster all at once which is not always an easy achievement.

There looks to be many different food options from savory to sweet. Some interesting things on the menu including fusion burgers and tofu squares and lasagna etc etc.

The item that I could eat or that were available for plant folk were salads, a tofu and a cupcake that was apparently chai informed. So I got the cupcake, which I always have my suspicions about anyways because it's a cupcake.

The unfortunate meeting of my expectations and the taste of the cupcake felt like a reminder to me about my former hesitations about cupcakes. It was sweet, it was tangy but beyond that no personality I don't think.

The coffee was okay but I still don't understand why it's impossible to put non-dairy milk on the customer side of things as opposed to on the server side of things. The large coffee was okay.

On top of the cupcake not tasting like anything exciting, it was pretty pricey for a small little guy sitting at the $6 range. I acknowledge, that things of quality during this day and age are expensive but having been to several other vegan establishments that use high quality ingredients, I was confused by this little guy.

Visiting town and was looking for a lunch spot and Oak Bay and discovered a little delight called Demitasse; it is outstanding.
Chimichurri chicken and potatoes with Marrakech beet side salad on a cozy little patio surrounded by plants. Don’t miss this local gem; we all need to support local places like this. 🤩

I have been going here for about 4 years and have always enjoyed their offerings and friendly staff. I was disappointed today. My toasted croissant sandwich was burnt and the other salad and meat selections on offer were sitting in the sun and looked unkept. I hope it's was just a bad morning and not a sign of future quality. As always, the staff were pleasant as was the surrounding garden.

We love this place. We’ve been in Victoria for 4 months and we consider ourselves to be cafe aficionados! We’ve been drinking coffee at every establishment that looks worthy!
Demitasse does it right. Firstly the coffee is consistently perfect. The staff know what we want before we even order. The selection and quality of food is top notch. The limited indoor seating is perfect - encourages you to stand, move around and even talk to people! Good grief!
No one sitting around in here with ear buds and a laptop open in front of them - this is a functional, old fashioned cafe - people actually interact! What the heck - someone might talk to you!
The interior couldn’t be much cuter and the music is perfect - especially when the kitchen staff have a sing along.
So if you want great coffee served with a smile, this is the place.
I should have written this review weeks ago. What inspired me to write today was the piece of cake I had yesterday - the very first piece from a brand new, freshly baked Lemon Ginger Honey Cake. It was literally the best slice of cake I’ve ever eaten.

Is long time ago. When I stayed Language School , KGIC ,Victoria. I like visiting this Demitasse coffee shop. Here have beautiful Graden and Fresh air. I also like this area. Recommend cappuccino coffee and dessert!!!!! Delicious. 24Nov, 2014. ELin.

The best date square you will ever have, and an amazing selections of some of the most flavourful salads, warm sandwiches, all in a neighbourhood treasure, or the locals come and go all day with their takeout orders. It’s also a garden centre if you can believe it. it is one of the more improbable places you will find. There is little to no indoor dining and only a few outdoor tables, but it is on some beautiful, walking routes along the strait of Juan de Fuca or up through Oak Bay.
