I've spent the winter at Desert Gem and I can't say enough about Deb and her staff. The generous kind help I received from them was beyond fantastic!!! The facility is very well kept and very clean. Lovely people!!! Thanks so much to Deb and her staff for a GREAT first RVing winter.

Desert Gem RV park is very conveniently located on the edge of town. It is easy walking distance to stores like Canadian tire, Tim Hortons, and Buy low foods. The park is professionally managed and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
After spending the last 6 months on the road travelling from coast to coast in Canada we would say that washrooms and laundry room at Desert Gem are second to none in Canada with respect to cleanliness. The park roads and pads are paved and the grass and plants are well cared for.
Overall our 2 month stay was an excellent experience.

Nicest people when I showed up without a reservation after hours with a 45' fithwheel. They found me a spot that I needed just for the night. Would recommend just based on that. Facilities where nice and clean which makes things nice.

The location is amazing! The staff are hard working and friendly. The sites are very well maintained as well as the laundry. Have not used the washrooms or showers however have heard they are immaculate. Cable TV is awesome! The Wifi is pretty much like many other parks we have stayed at! Walking distance to grocery, wine and pet store! Highly recommend for a short or longer stay!

Deb the manager is outstanding . She works extremely hard to accommodate the visitors. She is professional and follows safety covid -19 protocol as first priority. At the same time Deb has a heart of gold if you need something like a cable box just ask her she will go out of her way to get what you need. Deb has a difficult job of finding a balance of letting visitors know the parks rules and doing so in a respectful and kind manner. The washrooms, laundry room and grounds area are immaculately clean. She has also been flexible at getting us a spot. We were desperate to find a place to live, we sold our house unexpectedly fast. We [husband and I] stayed at the Desert Gem for over 3 months [April-July 2020] while we were house hunting. We were concerned about living at at an R.V. site with our two dogs indefinitely. Deb and the staff made us feel at ease and at home. I would strongly recommend the Desert Gem. We made the right choice. If you read a bad review please read the managements response.

We stayed at Desert gem July and August 2020. The park and facilities are in excellent condition and are kept spotless. Deb and Phyllis are excellent manager and host. Denny and Randy do a great job of maintaining the grounds. The location is great for extended stays as shopping and restaurants are in walking distance. We are retired and have family in the area and plan to return for the summer months in the future to the Desert Gem RV resort.

This is not a resort a parking lot with small strips of grass would be a more accurate description Caution- nothing and nobody is allowed on this grass
The manager is extremely officious and unreasonable
Her choice of words demonstrate that she lacks tack and the necessary people skills to manage anything.
The guy who checked me in was totally awesome and my advice to him is - look for another job quickly. With your people skills you are wasted at this “resort “
There are much better places in Oliver at less cost

1st I have to say Deb (site manager) was amazing. She not only made a spot available for us when the fires broke out in Oliver when our other campground was on evacuation alert, but she was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, extremely clean, and has all of the amenities you need. (Power, water, sewer, cable, shower house and laundry). The shower was the best I have ever used in an RV park. It was clean, had hot water and roomy.
