Down 2 Earth Landscape Design helped us transform our drab front and backyard into an amazing new space that we love.

We hired Joanne to help design our new front and backyard areas this summer. We started with a great virtual meeting, followed by a very helpful on-site meeting at our home. Joanne is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable with her right away. She was able to transform our random thoughts and ideas into a fantastic design that we love. Joanne was also able to connect us with a great contractor, and she worked with them every step of the way, to ensure that everything turned out perfectly. She looked after the selection of all the plants and was extremely helpful when it was time to pick out patio stone and steps.

As the process went on, we added some extras to the project, such as a small water feature. Joanne assisted with all of these extras as well.

We are so happy with the work that Joanne from Down2Earth did for us. During the pandemic we initially reached out after going through her Instagram feed @joanneshaw_d2. So much great information! She arrived to our property (didn't have to come in) and took measurements. We then connected on Zoom and went over our backyard. We wanted a game plan / guide for direction to renovate our yard ourselves. We decided not to.
Working from home, homeschooling, and doing our own yard... We would probably be done in a couple of years.

Joanne connected us to Paver King (who we will be adding a stellar review on their Google). She was hands on... They were on time and gave us the backyard of our dreams in 2 days!

We definitely want Down2Earth and Paver King back next year as we move on to part 2 next Spring... The front yard!

Even though I am a garden club member, getting the textures, colours, and layers correct is time consuming work and it was such a treat to have it done for me. Removing the clay and adding quality soil and mulch will make my upkeep job much easier. I love your native plant choices and the birds in the Serviceberry Tree are a joy to watch!
