We have been fortunate to have Hank (Allure x Shane) join our family. From the outset, our interactions with Mari and Sara have been exceptional. We initially reached out to Drewsar to have a “visit” with them to evaluate the breed and the breeder. After the initial visit, we took a few days to contemplate and ask additional questions. We were confident that we had found a caring and responsible breeder with whom we wanted to do business. Sara and Mari were exceptional to deal with—prompt, attentive, and responsive to our inquiries, regardless of how trivial they may have seemed. The overall experience was overwhelmingly positive.
We subsequently met Hank, the soon-to-be addition to our family, and he exceeded our expectations. As we neared the “go home” day, we received all the information and assistance new puppy owners could imagine. Even after a few weeks, we still frequently refer to the information, which is comprehensive, user-friendly, and highly beneficial.
Since bringing Hank home, he has consistently amazed us. He is intelligent, well-tempered, and incredibly affectionate. Within days, he was fully potty and crate trained, largely due to the hard work Sara and Mari invested in the puppies. He was already halfway there when we brought him home.
Our interactions with Sara and Mari were refreshing and would not hesitate to recommend them to my closest friends.

Sara and Mari are fantastic, caring breeders who, in my experience, invest an immense amount of time, attention, care, and knowledge in each of their litters. They are very caring and careful in placing each pup with a family who matches in temperament. They send each new family home with a massive "puppy binder" chock full of useful information for the first year and remain available by text, email and phone for the lifetime of their puppies. Ours Drewsar pup has been in our family for 5 years and I still reach out with questions, which Sara welcomes. Sara & Mari have created an extended family of all those who have gotten Drewsar dogs and we keep in touch comparing behavior, trading photos and even babysitting each other's pups. I cannot recommend Drewsar more highly. I feel lucky to have found them and to have become a part of their extended Lagotto Romagnolo family.

If you're looking for the most perfect pup from the most carrying breeders, Sara & Mari from Drewsar are it! From the first moment we met Sara, she was extremely communicative, helpful and knowledgable. She made sure that we were the right fit for her pups and she also made sure Oliver (PWD) was the right fit for us! Her care and love for them from the moment they're born and even until now (4 years later) never stops. She knows each of the pups and their lineage and follows along on their lives & adventures. Both Sara & Mari are very helpful providing tips, advice and share knowledge with the entire Drewsar family. You're not just getting a wonderful dog from Drewsar, you're gaining a community of people who truly love and care for the breeds. Oliver is the sweetest boy, who is friendly, smart, quirky, playful and loving. He has an amazing temperament and a lot of it has to do with the early on exposure that Sara does with the puppies from the moment they're born. From kitchen noises to playing directly with her own toddler and out in the lawn, Oliver came home to us practically house trained! Maybe the breed is just that smart, but maybe it was Sara 😉

We got our first Portuguese Water Dog 14 years ago from Mari and Sara. Even at 14 years old Sara was so knowledgeable on the breed, grooming and showing. Along with her mother Mari they continue to raise beautiful, happy and well adjusted puppies. They are only a call, text or email away for any advice we ever need. We are thrilled to be able to bring our dogs back to Sara for grooming even though it’s quite the drive for us. They have become more than just a breeder of our dogs but life long friends. It is so beautiful to see Sara’s son Austin at only 4 years old, the third generation, so involved in helping raise and love the dogs! Mari and Sara have entrusted us with their up and coming boy Miller, we can’t wait to see him in the show ring and what his future will bring.

So grateful to welcome our first Drewsar puppy and first Lagotto, Flasche, into our home. Mari and Sara were very helpful and truly provided so much great info to prepare us for our new puppy well before we picked her up. The process itself was straightforward and efficient.
Flasche has bonded with our 15 year old Springer, our Springer puppy and is always happy to entertain the many future Dog Guide visitors that we puppysit. She is bold and fearless, already excelling in agility and obedience classes and can hold her own in scent detection classes with the older dogs. Also, I am fortunate to be close enough to Sara for grooming - a really great way to keep in touch. Thank you, Sara and Mari, for all that you do in raising wonderful companion dogs!
