I have had the pleasure of attending two of Jenine’s ‘Edible Perennial & Foraging Tours’. Jenine’s extensive knowledge of and passion for local edible plants is infectious. It’s an incredible experience to learn how much can be found right around us - if only we know where to look & what to look for. Jenine is an expert guide. I highly recommend her tours for anyone with the even slightest interest in local edible perennials and foraging. You won’t be disappointed!

Janine was very friendly, professional, hard-working, hands-on and great at communication. She has extensive knowledge about local ecosystems, weather, drainage, and of course, plants. We were impressed with her follow up after the yard was complete. It looks great and we love how many of the plants are thriving (and taste good). We highly recommend Edible Landscapes!

I was lucky enough to find out about Jenine’s Permaculture Design Certificate course and was not disappointed at any point during the duration of it. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question or curiosity thrown at her from any of the students. I learned a ton and she always made sure we understood concepts of certain topics before moving on. I highly recommend this course and I highly recommend Jenine for all the many services she provides, especially the PDC course.

8/26/2018 - We have used Jenine for the past 2 years to bring more clarity & order to our well-established yards – front & back (50+ years). This involved moving and rearranging some perennials, trimming trees and bushes, planting some new perennials, extensive weeding, and changing some colour schemes with new plant varieties to compliment already existing varieties. While still a work in progress, the results are impressive – quiet, elegant, and soothing. Our yards feature many water and feeding stations for birds and squirrels and the resultant landscaping blends all of this into a happy, Disneyish scenario from dawn to dusk. We usually conclude each day with a glass of wine to review our business day and enjoying the yards never fails to bring smiles. Jenine is always on time, professional, and laughs at my jokes!!

This review is long over due, but as I use the information and skills I learned taking Jenine Cozy’s PDC course followed by her Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Prairies course, I feel like now is a great time to pay some homage. I took her very first PDC class she taught back when things were in person haha. She was incredibly passionate and informative. She was a humble student of nature herself and taught in a very “down to earth” way. After every class, my cup always felt full of possibilities. If you want to change the way you see the world and focus on how we can work with nature rather than against it, then these classes are for you.
