The Vada Pav was absolutely delicious—flavorful and authentic. Both the chai and coffee were well-made and refreshing. We also tried the sandwiches, which were good. The only surprise was the puff pastry—it was quite small but tasted great.
Overall, a great spot for a quick and tasty bite. Will definitely visit again!

Filter coffee was perfect. Would have loved it even more if it were served in a traditional dabara set.

The sandwich was super light and tasted exactly like ones I have had back in Chennai, India.

Ginger tea was too strong for me but my husband liked it.

Overall experience was great and we’ll definitely visit again 🤗

The staff were really welcoming, and the food and atmosphere took me back to Hyderabad, my hometown. We tried the Aloo bonda, Chotu's sandwich, and Pani Puri. While the Pani Puri had a milder flavor with less masala and spices, it still ranked among the best I've tasted in Surrey. The Aloo Bonda was authentic in taste, and although the sandwich didn’t break any new ground, it still serves well for a quick bite. Prices were quite reasonable.

The atmosphere was lively, with Bollywood music playing in the background, creating a great vibe. The service was excellent, friendly, patient, and understanding, especially since it was my first time there. I ordered the iced chai with cream, which was delicious, and the spicy potato patty, which was freshly made, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. I really appreciate the warm hospitality. Self service joint, you pay upfront and get water from counter, and pick your food when ready, which is not bad, we ordered mango mastani, premade I guess, idli with chutney and Kodak chai
Idli was good, chai was premade and stored in flasks as I guessed and hence not tasted fresh.
Simple seating you pick uo your dirty dishes and place on the side counter.
Prices are reasonable, we need to try other options on the menu, so far so good!

Had a wonderful experience at Ek Chai Kahani. I tried the Chotu’s Special as suggested by the owner, Aanand, it was so good! The food is delicious, pure vegetarian, and Aanand is such a polite, kind, and down-to-earth person. Highly recommend!

Ek Chai Khani is a delightful discovery for any lover of authentic Indian cuisine nice sitting area and kadak chai was really good and yes the Schzwan grilled toasty was delicious the toasted exterior boasted a satisfyingly crisp texture, perfectly encasing a warm, well-seasoned filling. The Schzwan sauce was the star here—a bold, tangy blend with just the right kick of heat, infusing each bite with a burst of vibrant flavor. The balance between the spicy sauce and the mild, melty interior of the toast made it a memorable and comforting snack.
