We stumbled upon Emma Lea Farms during a visit to Westham Island Road Delta BC and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! This family-owned farm has been lovingly tended to for 5 generations. We had a great time picking fresh vegetables and admiring the beautiful, fully-bloomed sunflowers that made the place feel like a little slice of paradise. To top it off, there's an adorable ice cream shop right next to the farm store. I treated myself to a scrumptious mixed berries milkshake – it was absolutely delicious! They even have a small playground for kids and a donkey area, adding to the charm of the place. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are well-maintained – the washrooms are spotless, and there's plenty of spacious parking.

It's still a great farm for berry picking, good ice cream, donkey watching, bring home the berries and playing grounds.
If you love sunflowers, this is the right time (Aug 12, 2024)to do the u-pick sunflowers and u-pick blueberries are still good too. The sunflowers field are just started to bloom.
If you want a coffee or an ice-cream in the farm, it's the best time visiting on weekend. It's so relaxing enjoy the afternoon tea in the garden.
But I will trying to come back on weekdays, it is really too crowded on weekends.
There are always a long long line up for the ice cream as years ago. It's a problem for seniors.
Now they change their policy for the u-pick is a much better way. The customers no need line up for so long for the weight of the berries under the hot summer days.
The staff are always helpful and nice. You can get the fresh berries in the booth without long line up. I am happy seeing the farm growing big.
Finally, we wait for one cloudy Monday for our first u-pick in the field.
When we get there, no line up for food. We spend about less than a hour for the pick. If you plan to go for u-pick, try your best coming in weekdays and go to far end of the field. The further you go that there are more good blueberries.
After the picking you can enjoy some fresh fruits that you are just picked, coffee and ice-cream etc. There are a water station by the market for cleaning your fruits before you enjoy it.
We live in Vancouver but it is well worth the drive for the trip.
May I have a suggestion again. Would you set up one small hut for the tea, coffee, baked good and scoop of ice-cream. These items will not take long time to make.
Maybe, open one small window on the other side of the house only serve the easy items. It will be a win win situation for all.

Great experience, especially for those with kids.

$17 for a medium green basket (around 5 lbs) - pay by bucket size. Expensive considering how much farm-bought blueberries go for but the experience was worth it.

The blueberry fields are very well maintained, easy access and safe for kids too. The bushes are well-trimmed for easy reach. Blueberries are bountiful and we picked a lot of big ones. On a sunny day, there’s no shade to hide in, so I’d recommend going on an overcast day.

Outside of the fields is a kids playground, 2 donkeys and an ice cream/dessert shack. We spent 1-2 hours here. Highly recommend.

A great place for family fun! They offer blueberry and strawberry picking depending on the season. There’s an area where they sell selected produce and retail items.

The main attraction is the delicious ice cream served with fresh blueberries and strawberries. You can choose from soft or hard ice cream. Not an ice cream fan, try a milkshake, sundae, or smoothie. Vegan smoothies are available.

There’s seating available to enjoy your ice cream.

Parking is complimentary but will get busy on the weekends.

4.5 stars. Although we had a blast picking blueberries, eating ice cream and playing in the park they have there, there were way too many mosquitoes and other bugs. I definitely recommend going here but make sure you have mosquito repellent.

I had an unforgettable experience at Emma Lea Farms. This family-owned and operated farm, nestled on the picturesque Westham Island in Delta, British Columbia, offers a one-of-a-kind agricultural experience with its commitment to sustainable agriculture practices and locally grown produce.

The farm offers a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and more. I was impressed by the farm stand where you can purchase their fresh produce, as well as a range of delicious homemade jams, preserves, and baked goods made from their own fresh produce. They also offer other locally sourced products such as honey and frozen meat.

The farm has a designated picnic area where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while savouring your freshly picked produce or other snacks.

My favourite experience was strawberry picking, which was a fun and interactive way to connect with nature and learn more about where our food comes from. The fields were well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, making for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

I highly recommend Emma Lea Farms to anyone looking for a unique and rewarding agricultural experience. The farm is a true gem in the heart of Delta, BC, and a testament to the beauty and bounty of local agriculture. I can't wait to visit again in the future.
