Loved staying in a yurt on a working farm! The kids enjoyed all the animals. We were able to enjoy a campfire, gaze at the stars, have a wolf howl and listen to the barred owls in the early morning hours. With a wood stove and a power pack in the yurt, it made our stay even more comfortable.

Amazing! Great Yurt we're a family & went for our 3year old birthday in the winter. Our kid is adventure seeking & this was the perfect environment. We where warm as Matt the host taught us how to get everything done. Used the grill outside, cooked on a antique fire stove for the 1st time. There is just a lot of great things to say. Matt care for endangered species & they are happy ones too. We are breakfast sausages, steak and eggs purchased at the farm. Matt was always ready to help, he was very kind a great host. I will highly reccomend to anyone who is adventurous and wants some calm from the city life.

Great folks run this place.Matt,Danielle and their kids work so hard to provide such an array of offerings.The stand is always clean and tidy. Contents always clearly displayed .. recipes provided for certain items..
Some of the BEST tomatoes I've ever had ..
Fantastic growing practices which comes through in the produce. We are hoping to rent the Yurt and camp on the farm one night soon!

This is a fantastic farm that is based on a lot of love and thought. Mattimus was our AirBNB host for a yurt that he built on his property. He shared with us that it was his vision to own a farm that could be sustainable, he researched each specific type of animal he has on his farm, finding heritage breeds that can sustain Canadian winters. Mattimus was very kind to answer all our questions related to farm life and his animals - you can tell how passionate he is about his farm, and it's incredible that neither him nor his wife have a background in farming and are really just learning by doing. I would highly recommend to visit his farm, stay at his yurt through AirBNB and/or check out his self-serve stand (where he sells eggs, pork and other grown goods from his property) if you get the chance!

PS: their dog, Dawkins, alone is worth the visit!
