Adopted a bonded pair of cats from this branch about three weeks ago. I was very impressed by the adoption process. They put a lot of attention into ensuring that our household would be a good match for cats we were bringing home. They also made sure we had plenty of time to get to know the cats at the shelter before we committed to adopting. They even lent us a carrier to bring the beasties home and gave us a large care package that included most care items we'd need for the first couple of weeks and lots of information packets on what to expect and how to address possible problems with introducing an animal to a new home.

After bringing them home, we had a couple of minor medical issues, one involving a reluctance to eat and the other involving a complication from their recent spaying. I called the SPCA back regarding both issues and they were fantastic at helping us solve them, including scheduling a vet visit for us and checking back in to ensure the problems had been solved (happy to report that both cats are now doing wonderfully and have had no further concerns).

The centre seems well run and they clearly genuinely care for the animals in their charge. They seem very dedicated to giving their animals the best lives they can. I would be very comfortable recommending this location for anyone looking to adopt!

The orange girl is Beelzebub (Bubs for short) and the calico is Methuselah (Methuselah has a very grave manner and has resisted all our attempts at assigning a nickname). Their SPCA-assigned names were Poppy and Clara. They have been a wonderful addition to our household.

Also worth mentioning that when we adopted, they had just ended a quarantine for a viral outbreak. I was very impressed by the procedures they had put in place to contain it, as well as the degree to which they were willing to interrupt their operation to ensure the health and safety of their animals. Seeing how seriously they take their animals' health made me feel even more comfortable with adopting from them.

We are so lucky to have adopted a wonderful sweet kitty, we can’t thank the staff and volunteers at the Fredericton SPCA enough. They were wonderful and always helpful throughout the entire process. They definitely don’t get the recognition they deserve!

I was not impressed with the Fredericton SPCA. We were trying to look for a new puppy as we had to put my sons dog down this month and he's been missing his dog. We tried to call and call for a few days with no answer. We decided that we're they won't answer we would drive in and have a look, we don't live in the city. We got there just to find out they were closed due to a feline outbreak of something. The least they could of done was put that on and answering machine or something. We wasted gas to drive into town for nothing. Won't be going there again for an animal.

April 19, 2024: I have had a good experience with this SPCA. The admin person in front was very nice, kind and responsive to all my inquiries as I know nothing about cats (we have a tiny 7 pound doggie). The staff were very good to me. We had a beautiful light green eyed 12 toed cat who just showed up in our screened-in porch in early February. We had seen her outside since October, but she would not let anyone near her until she started living peacefully & periodically in our porch in the country among our many cushions and blankets. Her name is “Little Miss Kitty” and she is the most loving cat I have ever been around. She loves to cuddle and is so very sweet & friendly. She ended up being pregnant so we had to make the difficult decision to allow others to look after her for a time until someone really falls in love with her like I did and takes her to her FoRever HoMe. She is the best, sweetest little kitty kat. She loves the outdoors too. She is very friendly but also loves her freedom.
I think “Little Miss Kitty” is about 18 months old and is due to have her kittens any day now. If you are looking for the sweetest cat and perhaps even adopting a cat with one or two of her kittens, look no further, please consider going into the Fredericton SPCA and putting in an application for her. She is the most amazing and gentle cat and if you are a musician, “Little Miss Kitty” loves to be sung to. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏻🥰🥰🥰🥰

Every person I encountered there was lovely. Am fostering to adopt a beautiful little boy named Duck, love him to bits and he is so at home and loves his big brother, a Cairn Terrier named Murphy. They get along so wonderfully well.
