I had a fantastic experience at GARDENWORKS Oak Bay! The plant selection is incredible, with everything from vibrant flowers to unique houseplants. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help with recommendations. The store is beautifully arranged, making it easy to browse, and I loved the variety of pots, gardening tools, and home décor. Their outdoor section is well-stocked with healthy plants, and I appreciated the eco-friendly product options. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This is definitely my go-to garden center in Victoria. Highly recommend!

I love all the staff here. Always super helpful whether it's running upstairs to look for drainage pots or calling blenkinsop for a light. The younger woman with red hair (sorry I get all the workers at all the locations mixed up) always entertains me when I have new plants and want to show pictures. They love my dog. They let me roam endlessly and always check in. They call customers guests there (like other stores) but I truly feel like one when I'm there. Thanks from me and Jersey!

This location is full of gorgeous decor and plants! I've been to this location a few times and this is the first time I had the pleasure to meet James! He was so friendly, he single handedly has made this my favourite location! He pointed myself and my bestfriend in the direction of our newest obsession.. a croton plant! His energy and knowledge was refreshing and made the experience of shopping incredibly wonderful. Kudos to you, James!

Thank you Gardenworks for planting up an orchid into the glass bowl I brought in. It’s a beauty! The manager (wish I knew his name) was exceptionally helpful, friendly and kind. I learned that orchids are grown in Canada! Yes! Shopping “Canada made” and local is my motto! 🇨🇦❤️

Spider mites in both houseplants from here. If you like your plants, don't bring home anything from this location unless you want to spend the next few months spending hours and hours trying to rid your remaining plants from an infestation. This is completely unacceptable.

EDIT: Despite their reply, it has been well over a week without any contact from Gardenworks. Don't buy any houseplants from here and don't expect any actual customer service.

Love this place. I’ve found the prices are better than they used to be in addition to the great sales they have now and then. Customer appreciation day is always my go to! A lady named Candy is so positive and helpful. Fraser the Asst manager is always willing to help with questions and concerns. His plant knowledge seems extensive. His customer relations has been perfect and I feel he has some real smart business sense and knows how to nurture customer relationships along with the plants he cares for. That’s hard to find now days.

Fungus gnats was present in both of the plants I recently got from here and it is disgusting to deal with. It infested half of my other plants and I need to buy more products to battle them for the coming weeks. For reference, the two were a fig aubrey plant and a monstera. Spider mites in poinsettia as well that I got from the Saanich location. Gardenworks REALLY need to have some enhanced quality control measures in place, selling infested plants is absolutely insane.

Good location, beautifully laid out, lots of nice stuff. Staff mostly ignored us, and when they did pay attention, scarcely bothered to be pleasant. We left with two overpriced plants, one of which proved to be infested with bugs and is headed for the compost. Not our first disappointing experience there, but it will be the last as we won't be back.
