Amazing service. Called at noon on Saturday to get Chistmas flowers delivered to my friend in Jubilee. Wanted them delivered before Christmas. My friend called called me on Sunday to say she got them Saturday evening.

Warning about Georama Growers

I’ve had to sit and think for a couple of days exactly how this horrific of an event could really all really happen…but it did…

The owners/director of Georama Growers came to my home Sept 17 to suss out some horse manure compost for their gardens. He deemed it great quality and said he will come back another day with his farming equipment to load. I told him no problem, let me know when so I can move some horses to access the pile.

On sept 27 i was out of cell range gone off my property for a couple of hours. He showed up unannounced with his crew and machinery to my property for the manure. My partner was home and the Georama guy told my partner that we had pre-arranged the manure pick up with me (a lie). My partner does not handle horses and is very scared of one of my horses (a very high energy off track thoroughbred who is currently injured with a stifle injury). He managed to move the leader of the herd, a mare, and when he went to move the off track thoroughbred this is where everything went south. He couldn’t hold onto him (he was rearing and smashing into him trying to get to the mare) so he let him go for his own safety. The horse managed to put himself into the tightest corner of my property with flat deck trailers and equipment. The horse jumped onto the trailer puncturing his 2 back legs through the wood decking of the trailer. I won’t go into too much detail about the actual injuries but basically my already injured horse is now walking on 2 legs, and possibly deemed un-rideable for the rest of his life due to the injuries it has from this. My partner is now scared for life from horses. I checked my cell when I got home to see if he messaged me while I was out of cell range…no message to ask if he could come to get the manure…

Long story short, if ever you do any interactions with georama to come get compost or anything from your property be ready for them to show up unannounced. I’m in awe about all this happening and completely crushed that my horse and partner were put in this situation without control.

I usually have great things to say. However I recently bought 4 impatient plants and they were all full of bugs and have been dying one by one upon getting home. I did not leave them in car, came straight home on a cool day and even let them harden off a bit before planting. I moved the first one away as soon as I noticed hoping the others would be fine. If others note the same it’s possible this started at the nursery. ☹️ my boyfriend also bought me an arrangement for my birthday- the wrong one was sent and when I received it at the door/it was handed to me not left on stoop - it was nearly frozen, whole thing withered within 2 days and wasn’t cheap- I don’t recommend these guys for arrangements- better luck at Bella flora

Lovely nursery, in a beautiful location. Well worth the long drive. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Will definitely go back next spring.
