I have been wanting to come here since I moved to The Soo in 2018 and heard about it. I finally got to head there today with my husband. We enjoyed the food and the reasonable prices. We will be returning next year. Ps. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Great place, wonderful food BUT BEWARE of long wait times.
We just went and it was a 2 hour wait!!
The food was excellent and the service was good.
Just plan ahead and know that you may be waiting for a few hours to get a table - especially true if you are going with seniors or those with special needs.
The store is very nice to wander and kill some time.

Waited 45 minutes, watched our food sit under the heat lamps for 20 minutes, it was not that busy. When our food finally was brought to us- by not our waitress- the pancakes were gooey and dripping raw batter. Absolutely disgusting, did not eat them. The egg portions and maple butter portions were half the amount they were when we ate two weeks ago. Had to flag the waitress down to tell her our food was raw, as she didn't come to check on us.
Edit to add my cutlery was dirty and I had to grab my own because, again, the waitress did not check on us

Why would I stay after my food was intentionally left under the heat lamp and I had waited 45 minutes for old, undercooked pancakes? As I said to the waitress as I was leaving, I'm not waiting another 30 minutes after the cook messed up on pancakes. Who messes up pancakes? In a pancake restaurant, no less. I have health issues and needed to eat, my blood sugar was already low at the table before my food arrived after waiting almost an hour and didn't feel like passing out today so I went to the Beestro where I was given properly cooked, delicious food in a timely manner.

I have been going here for 30+ years and it is just as good as it was long ago. Make the time to go when they are open. Buy the maple candy that is at the register that is like .75 cents each.

Beautiful building. Didn't like the pancakes, the syrup was like water.
Not impressed at all. The waitress never came back until we were finished. Won't return.

It had been a long time since I've visited. Enjoyable atmosphere, some nice history, and the food and souvenirs are great.

Gluten free pancakes were available and they were light and fluffy! Golden and Perfect.
