The second my foot crossed the threshold, I was greeted by the most happy sincerest home hardware representative...pictured here was Brad. Then he immediately went to work trying to find an item that was cleared out (sale) and went to check stock. I was impressed by the interstaff communication and felt that there was a whole team of people trying to facilitate what I needed. When I think about it, I find that the friendliness and efficiency of retail employees makes a lot of difference in when I make a purchase. They offered me a chance to get my item that was out of stock within a couple of days. Now if I had any issue with the store it was that the front doors were hard to open. I tested the Handicapped entrance button and it worked fine. In the store, they had an M and M frozen food section. I didn't purchase anything from there, so I can't comment on the frozen food. The retail prices were actually lower than their competitors, and the sale items blew them out of the water, so look for the flyer at the front of the store. Sale items seem to go fast.

Home Hardware in Gravenhurst is amazing!
They stayed open late as many stood in line for a much needed generator. Staff were helping everyone to their cars and did so with such professionalism and a pleasant attitude. Home Hardware - a truly amazing Canadian store.

5 stars- During ice storms and a 4 day blackout, Home hardware in Gravenhurst saved us by finding more generators when there was none to be found elsewhere.. We are so grateful for their support . Wonderful community minded owners . 👏👏👏👏👏😃.

Two years ago I bought 3 gallons of Beautitone Oil Based Wood Shield Best Stain from my local Home Hardware Store. I was reading the reviews today as after 2 years and only 1 coat on floor 2 years ago needs a touch up. My deck is 20 years old and I was bowled over at how new the deck looked after first year. So much so I am adding a photo. This year (year 2) I am only touching up floor. The Rails still look brand new.

Our family has been dealing with Gravenhurst Home Hardware for 3 generations. We can't say enough good things about it. Customer service is exceptional! Special orders are no problem. Debbie who was in paint and now manages the store is amazing with colour matching and advice. If you speak to staff member about a particular problem and there is someone available who knows more, they will refer to them and help you find them. All the guys and gals (Scott and Glen among others) go the extra mile to ensure customers are intelligently advised including possible options, if applicable, and pros and cons of each. I have always left completely satisfied with the products I have purchased. I once went to the big orange box store and was told "I hate it when they send the wife". Not joking. (The store manager and Head Office heard about it in a strongly written letter. ) My husband and I have renovated 4 homes and I have a fair bit of knowledge about what we use and need. I keep coming to Home Hardware because of their expertise, product selection and stellar customer service. You will always leave satisfied with your experience.
