Started the day off with ice cream from Udder Guys and then went to the park and enjoyed our treats. The views were incredible and wanted to come back when the tide came in. Huge difference in the amount of water from early day until sunset when we planned on returning hours later from our day trip. The viewing platform was nice and added a better and different view that you would normally get, hence the reason for my drone shots. Fantastic place to relax, have a bite and enjoy the views that are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying the local shops and of course the park. Definitely coming back..

Hecate Park is a city park in Cowichan Bay and located near the boat launch…there are picnic tables and easy access to the many beaches..it is just off the Cowichan Bay Road..the park is a place to rest for a bit before strolling further along the beautiful waterfront areas that are easily accessible..be sure to bring along a camera and binoculars to view the bird life that is so interesting and available..

Great place to check out. I've been staying here off and on in the motorhome last few months. Only issue is some idiot honking as they pass by in the morning to let us know they don't approve of us staying here. Lol in a blue sedan. I saw you

A great place to stop for lunch or a stroll by the ocean. This is a dog friendly area as long as your pooch is on a leash. There's a free nature centre and a boat launch. The view is always spectacular

Small, pleasant walk, close to the marina, the stores and Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre. You can spend 10 minutes and walk it all, or a day and study all the wildlife and plants.

Beautiful walking spot, usually see some otters, seals, lots of herons as there is a heron colony just up the hill from the park. Even saw a whale in the bay!
