Heritage Lane Builders built a house for my family a year ago. It was on time and I really like the quality of the construction, exterior and interior. I did not have any issues with them before, during and after. Marshall was so helpful to find exactly what we want for our interior. Also, I like Heritage Lane's customer service, easy to reach and they really want to help you when you have any problems or questions. I highly recommend them.

There's some good & bad feedback from our experience. To sum it up... They need personnel that does quality control surveillance throughout their builds. I have spoken to owners who have been present from the beginning of their builds & those who have only bought the house near the end. We purchased our home at the end of the process. And found many unpleasant finishings that typically no one would be satisfied with. I think this is simply because contractors are rushing & not having their work inspected before getting paid. Those that are present during their build are basically filling in the spot of quality control & are catching these unpleasant findings so they get corrected quickly.
Heritage did help with quickly getting certain things fixed in our home surrounded HVAC system. Unfortunately some still did not get fixed correctly by the contractor & my husband ended up fixing them himself & since then for those items we have not had any more issues.
Here are a few photos of what I mean about the finishings... Paint on the ceiling & poor mudding work in all our tray ceilings. If you were to pay someone to come into your home to do these types of things. No one would settle for this kind of quality.

We hired Heritage Lane builders to do some renos based on favourable reports. We were not disappointed. Ashley came up with a beautiful design. The trades showed up on time, did very good work and even cleaned up after. We would highly recommend this excellent company for any construction project.

Purchased a heritage home and moved in couple of months ago. At time of purchase we decided to have the basement finished also and was advised that the basement would be completed to the same standard as the main floor which had mid to high quality laminate. We discovered at one point they were going to carpet the entire basement which they first argued with us about until their own realtor confirmed that she had a text from them that they will complete to same standard. Obviously because the flooring was more expensive than the carpet they tried to get out of it. Then the flooring originally ordered was no longer available which was 4mm thicker than what we have now although apparently even though the different flooring is thinner it was more expensive for the builder. So we move in and we noticed when walking up and down the stairs the trim was too high and hurt to walk on. It was obviously for the original flooring which was to be thicker. We told Cory this on first walk through that it hurt to walk on and he just dismissed it as if that was normal. Well go ahead a month and already tripped twice on the edging due to it not being flush. I brought this up with Cory again because this is a safety issue and that obviously the project manager did not adjust the spec to the new flooring. Cory said it can take a long time to get fixed but eventually will which again is still a safety issue and no concern for the clients well-being ! Jump forward a few weeks and finally after living in the house for 2 months they get to finishing the bathroom in the basement. There still was no toilet sink vanity and needed to be painted. Not convenient having guests stay in bedroom in basement. So the toilet etc gets installed then two painters come from PG painting. I went past them at one point noticing they weren’t wearing masks and found out later they are not vaccinated. Minutes later my partner working remotely from the basement could hear coughing and sneezing repeatedly. She called me upstairs informing me and because we have a baby in the house that was born premature we were concerned and it was upsetting. I contacted Cory to tell him I want them out of our home while showing symptoms. He spoke with them and they said it was just allergies or something. First of all if that’s the case if they were showing any symptoms at all they shouldn’t even have been in our home. The female who was coughing left and waited outside while the male said he could stay and finish the job. We said no because they should get tested working so closely. I told Cory they can come back after showing negative covid test or prefer they got another company to finish the job. Well he said very casually that people do still cough and sneeze and people get the flu all the time. So I realized what we were dealing with and our safety was not concern of theirs being anti Vaxxers. He said he will have Peter the painter come back the following week but he won’t be tested or even suggest he get tested. Shameful! So yes eventually the non coughing painter returned and as you will see the attached pictures a disgraceful job. I then messaged Cory again saying unacceptable and want it fixed but no way same painter back again. He responded that that’s who they contracted and who will return for that and future jobs. Also made us feel hostage to this poor workmanship irresponsible painter because heritage refuses to use someone professional. We are very unhappy with this builder and DO NOT Recommend!

Heritage Lane Builders built our new home and it was an incredibly easy experience! The design team was so friendly and helpful! We also received possession on our possession date!! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: After our 1-year Walk through, The Service Team was quick to get all touch ups and adjustments completed! Melaney From Service really Hit it home for us and was such an incredible person to work with throughout our entire experience!

We decided to buy a heritage home in March of last year. Construction was completed on time in October. We are very happy with our new home and the build quality is great. We have had a few minor issues, but they are quick to respond and address anything we've found.

Ashley was fantastic to work with and made the process as stress free as it can be.

I would highly recommend heritage as a builder! My only major criticism would be the realtor they use. He collected a hefty commission and did not bother to meet us at any show homes. Once we decided to communicate directly with heritage rather than go through their realtor it made things much smoother.
