Food heated in the microwave. Lobster ravioli was under cooked chewy, in sauce, the side bread tasted the best. Butter chicken and rice
Was out of a jar, heated up rice and naan bread.
For $60 plus tip . I’d say save your money eat at home. I’m laughing because if you read their Hitchin Post website they make it sound like they’re somewhat established chefs with delicious unique menu & meals. I’m 100% sure a meal from a 100 years ago from the Wagons on trails would have been more wholesome, flavorful and delicious.
The atmosphere is exactly the same as Smittys restaurant. I thought reading “Hitching Post “
There’d be a wagon wheel decor something new to look at. Nope, same old framed pictures and same old atmosphere, boring then boring now .
I can heat up my leftovers my food still tastes way better. My grand daughter cooks better she’s only 8. Just being honest.
Least the server was nice.

My partner and I came in for lunch today, and the service was really the only good thing about our visit. I had the salmon salad; partner had the Nachos. My salad came out first. Server explained that the nachos had gotten burned and they were making more. The salad didn't look particularly fresh, but passable, and I was hungry so I started eating it. The lettuce got more wilted and slimy as I got halfway through- as if they had put all the fresh lettuce on top to hide the old lettuce. Meanwhile, the nachos finally came to the table with the cheese all melted in the top center and beef piled on top of that. My partner was really hungry at this point and ate the bare chips and then the blob in the center. There was no manager present to bring my concerns to, hence this review. I explained my concerns to the server and we were given a 10% discount, but $50 is still too much to pay for crappy food. We had a few decent (but overpriced) meals here in the past, but it will be a while before this establishment gets our patronage again!

We have become regular customers. Definitely not fine dining but all of the food has been good so far. Love the wing special on Thursdays. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for.

The worst service. Meals get ordered wrong, take forever to bring your drink, they can’t even clear plates from the table and then expect a tip. There are no smiles just rudeness. The food is not the greatest either, the steaks are worth 8 bucks but they charge 4 times that, plain dry baked potato. Would never eat here again.

Stayed at the Killam Motel. Very nice place and clean. Had our meals at the Hitchin Post Killam. We met our waitress Celine, what a gem she was being our server.

Very disappointed and disgusted with the food I was served today. Went for breakfast and our food took over an hour. Let me put this into context there were 3 tables in the entire restaurant. The food came out missing toast and sauces. The server asked how my boyfriend wanted his steak cooked and he specified med rare… it came out well done. Not only did all this happen but they had 3 drink options for breakfast… NOT EVEN ORANGE JUICE. We figured we would give this place a second chance so we ordered take out for dinner. We ordered buffalo poutine, this came with little to no gravy and no cheese. Their buffalo chicken was the only thing that had flavour, and by flavour I mean drenched in hot sauce. We also ordered spinach dip and it had a FOREIGN OBJECT EMBEDDED IN THE DIP. Also the chips were stale. As someone who has worked in the industry for over 4 years I wouldn’t even let my dog eat here.
