Daniel and tho whole team at Hornby Heart are incredible. 10/10 recommend staying here! I celebrated my 40th birthday party there and rented out all the glamping tents with my closest friends, about 18 of us in total and had other guests join us for a big dinner at their restaurant. The glamping grounds are beautiful, surrounded by lush forest, fields of wild flowers, a tranquil gazebo overlooking a pond and communal fire pit. Each tent has their own propane fire pit as well so you have the option for camp fires all summer long even during fire bans. We saw so much beautiful wildlife. Deer, woodpeckers, frogs, countless birds and even an owl! The washroom facilities are clean and modern, not ratchet dank outhouses,l like so many campsites and when you book the larger tent you get your own composting toilet. The showers are clean, private and have hot water! The glamping area is a 1 minute walk to the tasting room, picnic are, games areas and restaurant. The food at the Table Restaurant is seriously good! Daniel, the owner/executive chef, worked in a Michelin restaurant and you can really tell (without Michelin prices). The wrap around patio is right next to the vines so has a beautiful view. I highly recommended staying here whether a couple, family or a for a big birthday, wedding or other monumental celebration. The team was on the ball with communication and support and they were so easy to work with for planning. Top notch service both on the glamping side of things and in restaurant. Huge thanks to Daniel, Amy, Dzeja, Taylor and Trice for hosting us and making our weekend magical and unforgettable. Cannot wait to come back!!

Absolutely incredible experience at Hornby Heart vineyard!

My partner and I stayed for two nights in a cabin. The cabin is located among the vineyards, and literally across the road is a restaurant with amazingly delicious food! About the restaurant: the menu is created by a chef with many years of experience, and all the food is very fresh. The most impressive thing for me was the vegan options! As a vegan, this was incredibly important to me. The staff is very kind, courteous, and relaxed. The vineyards are very well-maintained, as is the entire property. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner: a very friendly man who loves his work and does everything possible to ensure a comfortable stay at the vineyard. By the way, we were incredibly impressed with the local wine, so we brought two bottles of white and red back to Vancouver with us 🙂

My husband and I glamped here for our honeymoon and had the best experience. Upon arrival, the host Tegan was super friendly and shared all the island’s “must-dos” so we saw and ate everything the island had the offer. The washrooms were clean and the staff were always checking in with us to see if we needed anything. You get to try 5 wines with their wine tasting and all of them were great! We got two to take home with us.

We also had dinner at their restaurant which was delicious. We had their brisket and duck entree which were generous servings, but we were also blown away by the fresh baguette and spinach/artichoke dip. Overall, it was a lovely and memorable first trip to Hornby Island for us thanks to the Hornby Heart staff! I would stay here again.

Picked up a bottle of their Rosé at Buckley Bay recently and it was fantastic. Hornby Heart is a special place we keep returning to and it never disappoints! Delicious food, amazing wine and that relaxing island vibe make every visit unforgettable. The staff are always so welcoming. Highly recommend!

A vineyard with glamping experience.
We stayed for a weekend on one of their glamping tents, and we found it a very nice experience.

FOOD: Free Breakfast(might need some variation on the menu especially if guests are staying longer)

PRICE: location, amenities and experience is good for it's price.

STAFF: Friendly and accomodating. (There should be an exact place to go to if guests are checking in. As guests come with reservations, it would be better if you don't let us wait for other guests just to save you time for the 'orientation' stuff, we've been through some ferry ride and want to setup too)

LOCATION: Tents in the forest. No views of the sea. A good 10-15minute drive to Tribune Bay Beach. A good place for wine lovers, free music on weekends. (Check schedule)

RECOMMENDATION: We ended up not using the fire pit as our propane cylinder(small) does not fit to it. Asked for propane tank and will be charged way too much. I hope you provide adaptors for those who bring small propane cylinders.

Great place for wine tasting with The Hornby Island Bakery and Pizzeria attached. This vineyard also provides services for "glamping", which is upscale camping in canvas tents complete with beds and onsite washrooms with flush toilet and hot water shower. Shampoo was not provided and bring your own lighting if you want to shower at night. If the tents are not your thing, they also have one camping trailer available for rent. Continental breakfast is complementary with your glamping stay. The staff are friendly but get your pizza order in early as the pizzeria can get overrun with demand.

My friends and I stayed at this beautiful Vineyard for several nights and had an amazing experience! The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating, the amenities were very clean, and the wine was delicious! I absolutely recommend staying at Heart Vineyard and can't wait to go back! Thank you Daniel (and family) for such an amazing stay!

Beaut location and tasty wines. Great up and coming winery. Didn't have any reviews so we were wary but so glad we stopped by. Beautiful scenery, genuine people, great service and great location very close to ferry.
