If you are familiar with the arid environment of the Thompson-Nicola region, this farm looks literally like an oasis in the desert. From the moment you turn your car into their driveway and make your way up the property, the fields of sunflowers and sweetcorn first catch your eye. Then it is the wide and colourful array of seasonal produce in large crates at the entrance. Depending on the season, flower enthusiasts have plenty to look at in the spring, while pumpkin fans have gourds of all sizes and shapes to choose from in the autumn.

For city-dwellers like us stuck on many ultra processed grocery options, we appreciated the food on sale here because most of it is produced and made on site. Where the authentic farm-to-table experience really comes into its own was sampling their (many) baked goods, fresh buttery corn on the cob and the custom sandwiches made-to-order after handwriting your choices on this cute little paper form that we hand to their kitchen team. Their sandwiches are a real highlight because every single ingredient including the bread came from the farm!

We enjoyed our lunch sitting in their spacious back patio area, looking over the fields of apple trees and the other rows of pick-your-own seasonable vegetables in the far distance, and watching and listening to all the other visitors eat, play and make the most of their time on the farm.

If we were not just stopping by mid-road trip for our lunch, we could totally see ourselves spending the whole afternoon here picking our own produce from the fields and being reminded why it was so nice to not only eat food from plastic packaging.

The staff were incredibly hardworking and friendly. They run a big operation there so there are plenty of uniformed staff who were around to help with any questions we had. The place was just full of activity and looked like a proud local institution that travellers and regulars enjoyed alike.

The next time you drive past Cache Creek, save this location and remember to drop by because it is easy to miss it if you are not “in the know”. You will certainly not regret it.

Der Markt hat eine große Gemüse und Obst Auswahl, so wie verschiedene Lokale Leckereien. Besonders gut hat uns das Maislabyrinth gefallen. Alles ist liebevoll und mit sehr viel Mühe hergerichtet. Ein besonderer Spaß für groß und klein. Vielen Dank an Claudia, die die Tickets verkauft. Mit deiner freundlichen und herzlichen Art, hast du uns den Tag versüßt.

The market is amazing. We came back twice for the Mexican corn and strawberry lemonade. There’s a cozy outdoor seating area overseeing the apple orchard.

I sampled some cowboy pies (apple, and beef and veggies), round pies (peach, and strawberry and rhubarb), warm candied pecans and the giant cinnamon bun. Everything was delicious.

Extra bonus points for cute cats roaming around.

Stopped here today the location is super lovely, the staff is okay. But, you can’t make changes to specific sandwiches and don’t have custom breakfast sandwiches which is semi annoying.

The two sandwiches we did go with were alright, and would get them if we drove through again

The pie we got was easily one of the worst pies we’ve ever had. It was the cherry pie and ended up being some sort of cherry jam, with a horrible consistency, and underbaked. I personally wouldn’t waste $20 on it. Maybe try a different kind.

We really enjoyed picking the apples! The farm is cute and the pies are delicious! The kids play area was too expensive though since our child is only 2.
