I’m incredibly disappointed. I used to enjoy coming here, but sadly, the quality has declined drastically. The food was nearly inedible — weird combination of flavours, overly salty, overcooked, and the rice was dry, clumpy, and tasted stale. For the price, I expected much better.

The cleanliness was also shocking. There was a thick layer of dust on the beams, as if the place hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bathroom and tables were also filthy.

It feels like there is no care anymore, which is sad given how good this place used to be and how great the atmosphere was a few years ago. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

The atmosphere is cool, with plenty of natural light, but it feels more like a teenager's dorm—tidied up but not properly cleaned. It’s actually pretty gross! The mac n' cheese wasn’t heated all the way through and was only mediocre. The matcha latte was unbearably sweet, and my girlfriend and I couldn’t figure out how it managed to be so sugary. The rice in the rice bowl was rock hard and old. The bathrooms were also gross.

Honestly, I’m not sure why this place has such high ratings.

Been frequenting Hotshots since their humble beginning in the prestige hotel ( forgive me if I'm wrong on that one ) Excellent food and service. One of my favorite must have food items when in town is there Ranchero breakfast sandwich .. some reason I don't think it's on the drive thru menu .. I just ask for the breakfast sandwich with guacamole on it . It's Divine ! Homemade everything from the guacamole to the salsa and even the breakfast ( meat) pattie topped with an egg on a brioche bun !!!! 😋 sooooo good must try!

Stopped here for breakfast and lunch again. Both times the food was amazing and coffee was excellent. Will be stopping by here every time we pass through and recommending it to others. Great for dietary restrictions and good options for healthy meals. Thanks again!

Stopped for breakfast, had the spicy breakfast bagel and beef brisket hash, along with a hot and iced coffee. Reasonably priced, quick service a d delicious. Gorgeous outdoor eating area to enjoy the sunshine.

I was travelling through and needed a breakfast place with plant based (vegan) options for me, vegetarian kids options for my kids, and just generally good breakfast food for my husband, and this place totally fit the bill! I tried to look at their menu the night before, but at 10pm, their online ordering menu wasn’t loading. In the morning it did load, but they actually had SO MANY more plant based options IRL. They even have vegan whipped cream! I loved the vegan poutine breakfast bowl, chia seed pudding, and maple latte. Also the kids breakfast options were all $6-7, and came WITH a drink (my kids had vanilla steamed milk). Staff was all super friendly, and atmosphere was great. Would absolutely return if we pass back through!

Their ramen is so good and authentic (Thursdays!). Lots of time and care goes into the broth and everything in it. Vegan option is great. Hot Shots is always evolving and a Cranbrook original, of which we should be proud.
