My best Aunt and I were running errands, and we stopped here for lunch. I had a sandwich and she had soup, both were very good. They have an extensive variety of easy to take away food. So much better than fast food all the time.

Don't bother going if you forget your bags... they'll charge you $0.25 for a paper bag that won't hold a thing without tearing.. better off going to Quality Foods if you decide you need some things, and left your bags at home.

I go to this pharmacy regularly as this is the most convenient to where I live. It is very easy to call ahead to refill prescriptions or book an appointment for a booster shot. Masih and Shadab are always very welcoming and accommodating. They answer all your questions and make sure you understand what is required of the prescription.

I've been a regular shopper at John's/ Hughs for many years and today, I'm unhappy. We have ceased purchasing anything from the US. Today I looked at the Hughs flyer and made a special trip in to buy carrots and strawberries from Canada and Mexico respectively. Turned out they were both from the US. This is bait and switch and is unacceptable. We all need to stand up to the ignorant buffoon down south and Canadian retailers need to do their part to ensure products are correctly promoted.

I mentioned this false advertising to the cashier and she shrugged and said "people are buying them, so what?". No interest in the subject whatsoever. Oh well. I guess if this is the level of commitment to "shop Canadian" at Hughs, we'll take our business elsewhere.

I'm not sure what's going on with the veg, but the last 4 packs of salad over the last couple of months have been slimy inside, even though they are in date, and when I was in there last week, the 'baking potatoes' look like they were last season. I'm a farmer's boy and my family would never send veg in that condition to the stores. For the ridiculous prices they charge, they should be better.

Meat is always on lower end of quality.
But yesterday, it caught me bad enough to drop this review. I bought "fresh" lean ground beef wrapped the same day, i used it immediately and was already smelling like ground beef that spent DAYS in the fridge. You know the kind of meat you ask a second opinion to your wife when you pull it out of the fridge as if you should cook it or throw it

I usually have NO problem at this store, as I am a insta cart shopper. Today we met Wendy... She was very rude, took the paper bags I collected, usually insta cart shoppers use the paper bags. From my hand and said " You don't use these! These are for deliveries. " I replied. "I am delivering, I am insta carting." She repliesback" Well these still aren't the right ones!" I was so disgusted, I left the self check out cause I didn't want to even speak to this lady and went to a regular checkout. Was served by a really nice lady. I am a Wendy! We are really nice people!
