Although the Stone Yard isn't the first place you might think to go to look at Trees, Shrubs and Perennials. It's one of the first places I go. Danny is knowledgeable, friendly, and takes the time to answer questions, and assist in ensuring that you get the right plants for the right place. Although they carry many of the same items as the Garden centre just up the road, they have some product diversity.

I just bought 10 bags of decorative stones, black. $30 a bag and I asked and paid for stones that were 1"-2" in size. They got 6/10 correct. The other 4 bags were larger stones, 2 were large 3"-4" and the other 2 were 2"-3". Such a waste of time and money...$120+ for nothing but eyesores.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. I had a large soil shipment booked but they couldn't be bothered to return my calls to get an estimate on the truck size for delivery. Put me on hold for 20 minutes at one time.

Great service, selection and products. I've just completed my second project using stone and supplies from Islington Stone Yard and will come back for the next one too! Shout out to Ethan who helped from start to finish. When one item was backordered, the staff proactively kept me informed and gave me clear timelines and options throughout without me havinge to call and ask.
I've found everyone is knowledgeable and friendly, the prices are very reasonable for high quality stone and landscaping projects, (and plants!) and both my wife and I are very happy with the service we have received. Plus the guys in the yard always lend a hand.

We got beautiful black pearl granite stone from Islington Nurseries. Ethan and Allesty and all staff I came across were super helpful with ideas, suggestions, to help us make an informed decision. We are so very happy with the way it turned out!! Thank you!!!

There’s a lot to discover here, since they added the nursery section 2 years ago.

If you’re looking for trees, shrubs or perennials, you might want to consider pulling in here for a look around. After driving by on an almost daily basis, I had a look today and walked away with some nice things for the garden. More a stone yard than anything, the nursery is surprisingly well outfitted— you’re more likely to find something than not.

Four stars vs 5 because you won’t find all the typical accoutrements of a full-on nursery here. Staff have limited knowledge, there isn’t a large selection of garden soils, and bring your own plastic covering for your car - that’s not something they’ll have for you.

That said, if you can get past the idea it might not be a one stop shop, drop by, you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Oh yea, don’t let the fence fool you, it’s all hidden from the street- but honestly, it’s there.

Simply inconsiderate and condescending staff at customer service. She was rude and doesn't know what customer service means. Staff told me to wait outside and someone will be there to assist. No one was there and upon my return to customer service told me to return next week. Seriously! Product didn't look maintained as with how poor she was at customer service. Obviously doesn't understand the sign above her counter. I wouldn't recommend this place since they are unreliable. Poor rating overall.

Order 3 cubic yards of screened soil, and got dump about 6 cubic yards, 30 full loads of wheelbarrows. There are so many big chunks of clay, call customer service, she doesn't know 1 cubic yard of soil to the wheelbarrow. Blame it was too much rain, and it creates clumps. They try to play dumb and ignore their customers' complaints about overdumping, which is not my fault, it is their mistake, or might be they did it purposely. Very disappointed with the way a 60 years old company treats their customers, not professionally at all. They didn’t offer any help to remove extra soil, which created a lot of work for their customers. Please look at the picture, that is what they call SCREENED SOIL.
