The staff were absolutely lovely, and provided top of the line bouquets for my mother’s funeral. She would have been fawning over the flowers and colours they chose. I’ve never not had a good experience here and will continue to be a loyal customer.

We were so pleased with the beautiful flowers for our grandson. Karen was so helpful in suggesting something that was delicate and appropriate for a baby and she created an absolutely perfect arrangement. We would highly recommend choosing this business with it’s skilled and compassionate staff.

In my opinion way over price for what you actually get. I do not recommend JEAN'S FLOWERS AND GIFTS. I had ordered flowers for my grandma. I ordered the premium bouquet for $165. The picture posted was on the website was standard size for $125 so I was expecting it to be a lot bigger and better than what we got. As soon as Grandma got it, she sent me a picture of it. I was pretty upset with the flowers so called to ask if it was the premium and the girl said “yes it was” I said, ”but it looks nothing like the picture.”
And her reply was “a Big Mac never looks like the picture either.”
So unprofessional and such a disappointment.

If you want to rate me for giving the wrong address after our grandpa passed away and we weren’t thinking clearly go ahead. Makes me wonder how many other customers you complain about…..
The address I gave was only a 10 minute drive from your shop. And her new address was 13 minutes away from your shop. And I never once said I needed it quickly or rush you. You say you had to investigate to get her new address which wouldn’t have been that hard since you delivered flowers to her new address in the past or it was a phone call away. When picking out the flowers online, I pacifically picked that arrangement because it only had carnations and lilies not all the other flowers you put in it. There wasn’t many carnations in it…. I told you wanted the lilies and carnations. With the Premium arrangement, delivery and taxes It was almost $190. When I called asking about it, you said the lilies in the picture were so such big and that’s way it didn’t look as full and made your comment about the Big Mac then started going on about the delivery. You weren’t polite about it at all. It was rude in my opinion.

As for your comment comparing it to a Big Mac….They don’t take half the meat out and add tomatoes and ketchup without asking. You get exactly what you see in the picture when ordering a Big Mac.

We’ve always received great service and outstanding bouquets from Jean’s. HOWEVER this particular occasion was less than favourable. My husband ordered flowers for me for Mother’s Day and paid by visa, they were having an issue with getting the information to go through (unsure if the number was entered incorrectly or given incorrectly). Since we live well outside the Truro area when ordering flowers my husband gives my phone number so that the florist may contact me to make sure I’ll be home for delivery. This morning they contacted me and asked for my husband, I said this is his wife may I help you? No I need to speak to “him” and never elaborated, she was curt in her tone and very cryptic!
So I spoke to my husband and he said he ordered flowers for me (he said online), so I called them back and spoke to the same individual. Once again I received very curt responses from her and I told her that the phone number he gives is always mine and it’s for delivery purposes, I told her she was being curt and cryptic….if you are having any issues you can ask me!
She only then said it was a visa number issue, I told her that I could give her the correct numbers needed and finally she was successful with the transaction.
Even though I believe they are the only florist in the Truro area, honestly I would have to desperately want a bouquet to ever order from them again.

****Mother’s Day 2024****
Once again sorely disappointed in Jean’s Flowers as they “use to be the best florist in town” and here’s what you get for $130.00 ………..including x3 whole roses, (one of which died the next day) x2 gerber daisy, x3 small bunches of yellow daisy, x5 carnations and x2 stalks of sweat pea!
Plus $30 for delivery (which is fine).

Beyond expectations.

My mother had surgery December 7th. I purchased their “grinch tree” that day. I brought it to the hospital and everyone there loved it. Amazing concept. It’s now January 23. Almost 7 weeks and it still looks almost as great as the day I got it. The customer service was phenomenal as well! Worth every penny.

I live in another province, so I was browsing the web to find a flower shop near my daughters place of work. Jean's Flowers and Gifts website caught my eye. I emailed and asked about delivery.
From the first point of contact Michele was fabulous. She worked with my confusion of the delivery address and helped greatly in my decision as to what to order.
I could not be more impressed with the customer service, until my daughter sent me a note upon her surprise delivery, and shared her encounter with the delivery driver. He informed her of great information about the plant she just received, she was so impressed.
I can't wait to visit this place of business on my next visit to NS. Customer service has seemed to have faded in some areas, but this little business is doing it right!! Thanks again Michele!

Hi Jean sorry I'm a little late to my experience with my order I placed for my Mother's Service in September. I must say they were amazing and coulorful, she would of loved them.
