Parrot feiendly environnment .

The staff remembered me from last year when i went to the grocery store on my way west bikepacking canada Crosscountry on my pgiant pak Yak and Chuck was just sitting on my shoulder.

A few items were mistakenly left on the checkout counter, so I went back the next day, and upon giving the nice lady my receipt and contact information, I was told the manager would check the camera and get back to me.
That call never came, so I returned to talk to said manager but was told he couldn't do anything unless he had the receipt (which I already provided).
Also, the fruits and veggies are bad half the time. I now just get my mom to ship my groceries from the Soo. That way, I'm not throwing out half a container of fuzzy berries. I feel awful leaving negative reviews, but in this case, I just had to. 😞 sorry.

This was a delight that I haven't felt in 30ish years.

The small town feel to this Valu-Mart is impeccable, while your eyes scream to you that it's crowded, as they try to take everything in all at once, you quickly realize they've utilized their space perfectly because they paid attention in high school geometry!

The staff were insanely friendly, I probably could have taken them all camping with us. It was very refreshing to have micro conversations with people who wanted to have them, something absent from the big city hustle and bustle.

The store is fully stocked, so you'll be hard pressed to find something they don't have (Jarrito's ahem lol).

I can't wait for my next trip to the Wawa area, and I am absolutely certain I will revisit the Valu-Mart, even if it's only to grab a snack and make more 10 second friends!!!

Fair pricing for most items, throughout the aisles and around the bread section can use a lot more organization, including price labels. Pretty good nonetheless, great for visitors to Lake Superior Provincial Park.

Stopped by on my way through. Very good prices, easily comparable to grocery stores in a major city. Inside of store and parking lot were clean and well-maintained. Used the washroom(you have to ask for the key) and it was also clean. Would recommend.
