Be sure to check the hours when they are open - and go to this amazing farm! Absolutely delicious cheeses!! There is a wonderful self guided tour. This is the land of happy cows! The calfs have their own Jolly Ball and will come right up to you. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Plan on spending some time here and be sure to take some cheese home with you!!

I love the products and we are very lucky to have this in our small town.
I had an unpleasant in-person experience with his staff member When buying ice cream with my kids. The cashier was impolite to both patrons before me and our group.
Otherwise their milk Is delicious and the business seems as ethical as can be.

Wow! Great cheese. We picked up a Crowdie and a chunk of Nostrala, both very delicious. They have other dairy products available in their retail shop, including those from other local producers in the area. You can tour the barns and see the cows and the milking operation. The automated milking system is brilliant.

I really enjoyed bringing my kids here for the self-guided tour. We all learned a lot. The highlight, of course, were the beautiful calves and I could not get my kids to leave 😂

We are blessed to coincidentally make it to Saturday opening hours of Kootenay Alpine Cheese Company during our trip. My heart lifted to see one of their principle: "Healthy Soil" - good food from the soil up in addition to creative-modern hygienic humane treatment for their cows and probably all plants and animals living in this farm. They use a robot system to milk their cows, an automated mechanical manure scrapping system, a Fly vacuum to get pesky flies off their cows back; harmful chemical sprays are never used to maintain bugs benefit to the ecosystem; they even provide dedicated area called "Calf Barn" and "SPA" for New (cow) Moms and Special Needs, SO COOL!!!
We did not see anyone during our self guided tour except many contented yet curious cows; it was really funny (and amazing) to watch how their cows queued in front of the milking gate then adjusted their feet for the robot arms :))

Stopped by during our stay to buy some cheese. What a lovely place! The self guided tour is interesting, and the calves are super adorable. Highly recommend stopping by if you are anywhere near Creston.
