Overall, a fantastic experience. They have a great selection of seafood and meat. The kitchen being on full display with the open flames greatly adds to the vibe. The server unfortunately dropped a glass of coke onto my wife, which is not great - but we understand that accidents happen. He apologized profusely and comped our cokes, as well as a coffee. Their brioche is absolutely fantastic. If possible, we would come back here just to buy a loaf! And the steak was, of course, the star of the evening. It is quite pricey, but totally worth it. Cooked to the perfect temperature, with an amazing crust, and it melts in your mouth! Even the fries were an experience, with the homemade aioli (which was probably the best we've ever had). We will be back for sure!

Came here for a 7:30pm reservation on a Saturday and were seated right away. We didn’t know it was their 2 year birthday but were pleasantly surprised that there was a live DJ.

We ordered 4 oysters at $4 each and the côte de beouf at $150. The oysters were on the smaller side but tasted great and were refreshing.

After that, we sat for what felt like a very long time. At one point the server came by after 40 min and told us our steak was arriving soon, and it took another 15 min to arrive. The steak tasted great but maybe not the most memorable at the $150 price tag. The fries were crispy and perfect.

The service at the end raised the 4* to a 5 for us as the server brought us the feature dessert ($10) on the house to make up for the long wait time despite us not making any complaints.

Would definitely return to try some other dishes!

Le Tambour
One of our fav places to eat here in Hamilton. This was a special event, a collaboration event between Le Tambour & Burdock Brewery. Simply amazing. Every dish was a home run. The lamb was unique and really flavourful. Congrats to the Le Tambour team for putting on a great event, amazing culinary journey.

This place really was a nice treat after a long day setting up wedding florals across the street at Liuna Station.
I knew as we walked in the food was going to be top notch. First thing that popped in my head seeing its French. Was to check the menu for beef tartare and escargot.
We were in for a treat. From the service to the food and the suggested cheese for dessert.
Everything was lovely. Our aged Striploin with the bone was cooked to perfection. And the flavour was spot on.
I’ll definitely be back. The team of staff here are really friendly and helpful. The price here wasn’t as bad. Well worth every bite.

Had a lovely celebration dinner here with a few colleagues recently. Loved the layout, the decor, the vibe and the few artifacts from This Ain’t Hollywood (iykyk!). Thank you to Amanda and all the service staff who were awesome. Food was great.

What a fantastic experience. Best burger in town! Tried some of the steak - even better if possible. Will certainly be trying it next time. Staff are friendly and check in at just the right times. Bar is making lovely tasting cocktails. Strongly recommend making this a regular stop.

I have visited Le Tambour twice now, in the dining room and at the bar. Both wonderful experiences with great service and top-rated food! One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.
