I was reading through some of the other comments, and I honestly can not believe some of the complaints! The Food Bank can only give what they get. And because there are more and more ppl using this amazing service, you should be grateful for what you do get! It isn't a one stop shop for all your grocery needs. So they might not have milk, or items that some ppl cannot eat due to allergies. They provide basic staples, fresh fruit and veggies when it's been donated to them, they even try to have some kind of dessert or pastries.
And all the volunteers there have been so nice and helpful anytime I have used this FREE service. So instead of complaining, maybe try being grateful. Lethbridge's population has grown substantially over the last few years, especially with all the immigrants moving here. They absolutely do their best to help everyone, but if ppl are not donating to the Food Bank, just be grateful to the ppl who do donate, or there would be no Food Bank to help ppl in need.
Buy it is not there for all your grocery needs. So again, be grateful for what you do get!!

I'm so very thankful we have this resource in the community. Like most people right now I have been struggling with the higher pricing for good quality food, especially fresh produce. Today for the first time in several years I was finally able to walk through the door with enough food in hand that I was able to feel secure for longer than just a week. The process was so easy, as long as you bring in proof of address, monthly income and expenses (I showed her my rent payment and what I made last year divided into a monthly average). The lady at the front was incredibly nice and helpful and the staff are more than willing to help provide food for those who need. Thank you to everyone who make this place run!

They don't give you at all what you need to survive in a month. A few cans of sauce and way to many noodles with no actual protein or meat. It gets worse everytime I go!

The workers I saw and talked with were very friendly, the variety is good, but it's unfortunate that they are unable to offer more meat products in single hampers... I appreciate the help I receive from the food bank.. and I'm happy to see that there is a limit on some items as I have seen lots of people take advantage and go overboard...Thank you for being there food bank

They don't accommodate allergies in the hampers so your left with mostly unusable food. Poor selection compared to other food banks.
Extremely poor hours, especially considering most low income ppl cant take the time off work in the middle of the day.

Should the woman with glasses, who runs the front desk be taking food off the shelves while were deciding what we want on the 3 item shelf? I found that odd behavior. Like she didn't want certain people to be allowed certain items. That felt off, why do that at a food bank?
