I had the pleasure of visiting the Little Campbell River Hatchery, and it was an incredible experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about conservation. This is a little gem. You can walk around and look at the hatching ponds, and then you can walk through the trails. No dog walking in there unless you are a member though. 2 volunteers were there who were lovely and so helpful.

It's a beautiful piece of land that almost got plowed over for more cement etc......bring the kids and they can learn a lot from the easy to read signs along the path that have photos of plants and their uses as well as history of logging and info. about the life of salmon which is so amazing.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times. It's a nice spot for a walk and you may even see some of the wildlife that lives close to the area. Closes at dusk.

Was a great little place and a very nice gentleman that works there gave us some info on it. Because of COVID not much was happening but we did get to walk a trail (about 20 minutes). It was lovely and so impressed with all the old original pictures and information all along the way. Also a great spot to have a picnic. Will be great in the fall to see the spawning salmon.

I was lucky enough to get a wonderful tour by one of the volunteers. Roy was so informative and the trails in behind the hatchery are chock full of beautiful sights and sounds and so many varieties of wildlife.
