I visited Lyrette Opticians in May for my first visit to have my eye examination. The Dr. said no change in my vision. I then returned now to ask for a cleaning and nose clips replacement. The owner wanted to charge me $10.00 for this service. I was shocked by this. I've never paid for this type of customer service ever at any optical store. His reason for charging me was I wasn't one of his own customers. The Dr. received my service and money for my initial visit. Not him.
I've lived here for over 30 years and now moved back after leaving for 6 years. Seeing this kind of service just confirms why locals shop out of town.

The secretary is such a lovely human being. The owner has a great sense of humor and you can feel that everyone cares in the building. When I was doing my schooling, I was able to see things that I couldn't see correctly for quite some time. I highly recommend this place

The Small town, personal touch was nice. The gentleman (owner?) personally attends to the fitting and taking the measurements. They helped me find, and special order, what I was looking for. The lady (saleswoman?) helped me find a second pair which was an impulse buy, but something I was VERY keen on.
I had a problem adjusting to my lenses. They both bent over backwards and ended up changing them all together under warranty.
They seem to have a genuine concern for customer service.
They only “con” was the turn around time, it seemed a bit slow, but, I’d always rather wait for perfection.

Brad and the assistants went out of their way to help me and my daughter find a
glasses suitable for us. They were very patient, friendly and helpful while we tried on a ton of different glasses and Brad was always available when I needed adjustments. They went above and beyond to help us out. I’m very pleased with the friendly service I received and appreciate it. Thank you! 😊

AMAZING service. Brad really cares about the client liking the product. He recommended an amazing pair of sunglasses, brought them in, and even heated them to make them fit perfectly! I was honestly super impressed. A++ experience.

They are AWESOME! Middle of Covid and I found their service exceptional. Friendly, helpful and quick to pick up on what you want or hoping to get. Prices are reasonable (of course depending on how silly you want to get with designer frames..lol). An excellent example of an Elliot Lake business performing an admirable service for it's residents. SHOP LOCAL!

I've lived all over Canada and I would always wait to buy sunglasses/glasses when I was visiting home. Best Optometry store around. Make you feel at home with no pressure to make a purchase. Now that I live back here, I'm a life long customer. Keep up all the great work!
