Mahon Park Trails are perfect for both hiking and just enjoying a peaceful walk. They also make a handy shortcut for getting around the neighborhood. The paths are surrounded by tall trees and fresh air, and you can often hear the sound of the creek, which makes the walk even more relaxing. A nice spot to escape the city without going far.

Good peaceful trail, many bridges, a few stairs here and there. Lots of greenery and pretty, old trees. Mostly people with dogs

I kind of by accident walked through the southern portion of the Mahon Park Trails not knowing it was a multi-elevation trail; I thought it was a typical, relatively flat park but I was pleasantly and serendipitously surprised.

Strolling southward down Forbes Ave, I saw a path off 15th St so I decided to take it since my destination was further west on 15th St. Walking down the last stretch of the road ending at a pseudo cul-de-sac, the trail began with several steep wooden steps going down. My first impression was awe, like I was entering an Elfen woodland (I’m nerdy, sue me) with the canopy overhead shading the sun in an almost magical, fluttery way. The light cool breeze picked up as I head further downward—it felt so relaxing with the quiet stream of water running underfoot. The steps are sturdy and all made of wood, which I appreciate, though along the way there are metal railings to help with footing as the path is largely natural and full of bumps and dips. Looking up and around felt a bit disorienting, but I was OK; the immersion was well worth it. Eventually I had to walk up some equally steep, but not unforgiving steps and further down he trail there were forks left and right. If I didn’t have somewhere to be, I’d have loved to explore the trail further. Using Google Maps to orient myself, I eventually heard the sound of traffic, which broke the spell Mahon Park Trails had cast on me, and I rejoined civilisation.

I don’t know how often I’d come to North Vancouver, but it would be a lovely experience to walk Mahon Park Trails again.

lovely, forested by the creek trail(s) on lead dog walking, walking or running. Cool on a hot summer day. Goes top to bottom or reverse, Keith Rd. to Queens Rd. ir Veers off to behind Mahon Park or Carson Graham High School. you pick. Depending, easy straight flat, or up and some stairs.

Beautiful nature walk/hike in the heart of CIty of North Van. Trails are well groomed, scenic hike with streams & bridges for hikers of all ages and abilities. A bit muddy in some spots this time of year (Winter/Spring) but well worth checking out year round.

This jungle exceeded all my expectations! We went on a guided trek and were amazed by the diversity of the plants and animals. Seeing wild toucans and hearing howler monkeys in the distance made it feel like a real adventure. The natural swimming pools and waterfalls were the perfect way to cool off. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring our safety while making the experience exciting. It’s a place that feels untouched by time, and I left with a deep appreciation for nature. If you’re looking for an unforgettable jungle experience, don’t miss this one!

Very peaceful and beautiful trail between Central Lonsdale and Mosquito Creek. There are a few different loops you can explore with various access points from neighbourhoods on both sides. There are lots of stairs if you want to quickly cut across the ravine, but otherwise easy walking with small inclines. The downside is that there is no direct access to the spray park or pickle ball courts (fully fenced off), so it’s quite inconvenient if you’re wanting to walk there from the Mosquito Creek side with kids or go for a run on the track. The trail seems surprisingly underutilized given its central location.
