We saw their advertisement in a natural/ farm to table magazine we picked up near Kinininic, travelling back from Bella Coola, thought we would pick up some hotdogs. We opted for the homemade smokies. A young dude at the meat counter served us, informed us that it's not their own, but it's a solid 2nd option as theirs sell out and we were there around 4.30pm, understandable on a Friday on a long weekend. The smokies were amazing! We went for the jalapeño.
Living in Vancouver, I've never seen homemade smokies, so was worth a try.

The butchers was pretty busy and had everything you needed, pricing was really good. 6 smokies, 11$ We were camping nearby, and even the park ranger said that's the only place he goes.

Giving 5*s as the staff were amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and a serious collection of meats, pantry suppies, bread, and bison " pepperoni sticks" which I'd never seen, and almost bought.

Would go back to Try more things.

I hate this shop! It's about a click away from my workplace and I have a hard time driving past it twice a day. Their very friendly, knowledgable staff are shamelessly devoted to enabling carnivore tendencies. MMM carries local Rodear Meats jerky (only the best jerky on this planet)...excellent fresh cuts of meat... boneless smoked hams...custom orders...cured meats, sausages, smoked fish, condiments and treats from local and regional suppliers...the Ultimate Carnivore's Dream...they need a bigger parking lot.

Wonderful place! We try to purchase most of our meats here. Great staff, terrific selection, lots of local options. The butchers are skilled, and the quality is high across the board.

Walk in off the street from the full parking lot into this inconspicuous shop and are immediately treated to the incredible smells of smokey sausage and bacon, like some perfume tempting your taste buds. Not just a meat shop, but a place full of products to peak your interest. The staff are fantastic, always helpful and they exude the pride for the products they are selling. Did I mention the sausage? Both the Mennonite and Ukrainian are to die for. Grab some perogies to go with it. Better grab a pound of that bacon too while your at it. It's all good. The only downside is that once you try their goodies you won't be able to eat the other mass produced stuff the chain stores carry 🙂 We look forward to shopping at Margetts weekly. It's always the best and full of smiling faces.
