I recently visited Mostafa Supermarket in Burnaby and was really impressed with their butchery section. It's one of the cleanest I've seen in the area and their selection of lamb meat is fantastic. What's even better is that their prices are very fair compared to other options in the area. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, making for an overall pleasant shopping experience. I would definitely recommend Mostafa Supermarket to anyone looking for high-quality meat and excellent service.

I feel my race was a factor in how I was treated here.

I’ve come to Mostafa Supermarket three times already as they make good baklava, but each time there was a young women working behind the counter. She would happily chat with the other customers who appeared middle eastern and be helpful to them, but when it came to me she gave me the cold shoulder each time and one word answers to any of my questions. The only difference between me and all the other customers was I’m chinese and everyone else appeared middle eastern, so I felt as if I was being made to feel unwelcomed. My parents had a similar experience.

Vancouver is filled with Chinese people and we’re just trying to live our lives like you or anyone else. You should learn to get along with us and others. :/

It's a crazy shop He deceives people with his dry bread The chef of your dry bread is an idiot Your dry bread is not good, learn how to bake bread, then come and sell it, this is not Afghanistan, people, talk to each other, dry bread is 1 to 3 dollars, it is also dry, half cooked, half raw. I am suing you for not baking bread properly. You kill people's lives

Some items are sold despite their dates are expired. The price for most of the items are higher than other local supermarkets.

The owners need to check expiry dates of items. I just hope it's not deliberate.

All the carabao energy drinks have expired in April 2024, but, still tons are being sold both at the market and coffee shop. Just went to buy tahini paste and saw all the tahini paste jars had expired in 2023, but, were still stocked for sale.

Brought this to the cashiers attention. Had also mentioned about the expired drinks to the coffee shop's cashier about 2 months prior. But the same expired stuff still exists.

I hope they make ammendments as it's not good to sell expires stuff to people.

Your response below is biased and embarrassing, beyond the business principles of defending employees. It would be challenging for an Afghani shop in Canada to provide the same level of customer service as the other Canadian shops. However, customer service is the key to success.

If a shop owned by an owner like you would hire a salesperson and a woman like the one you have who behaves rudely, it would be helpful for you to adopt Canadian customer service and business principles to understand that providing a review isn't discrimination.

I strongly urge you to enhance your communication skills. Your response below, riddled with grammatical and punctuation errors, clearly indicates the need for improvement. Effective communication is crucial in understanding your customers and meeting their expectations.

I attempted to retrieve prayer beads from the back of the counter. However, the staff member with a ponytail was discourteous and declined my request for assistance. He said you're not allowed to come here.

As a customer, I strongly believe in the importance of having access to products so that I can examine and select them. The behaviour of the staff members, particularly their habit of following customers in the shop, made me uneasy and significantly impacted my shopping experience.

While Mustafa's business is flourishing and expanding, it is imperative to pay attention to the standard of customer service his staff provides. After all, customers are the foundation of any business's success.

In his sweet bakery shop, the Hajabi lady is rude. She knows almost nothing about doing business in Canada or customer service. Mustafa could train them to learn how customer service works in Canada before making dissatisfied customers more dissatisfied.

I recently visited Mostafa Supermarket, and unfortunately, I had a less than satisfactory experience. I encountered some issues with their staff's behavior and product quality. The lamb shank I purchased had an unpleasant odor, and I noticed some expired items on their shelves. Additionally, I found a fly on their bread, which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, their prices seemed higher compared to other stores. I hope they can work on improving these aspects for a better shopping experience
