I recently had my third delivery from My Garden Bag. Unfortunately, the most recent time the drop off instructions were not followed and the bag left in the wrong spot. I called their line same day to try to catch the truck while they were in my neighbourhood, but the phones are not answered. There are also two different companies serviced by the same line. I admit I was frustrated.

The next day I received an automated email for feedback and I commented that the bag was left in the wrong spot. I received a reply later that day saying they were investigating and a call the next day (Saturday) saying them were coming to fix it. They were at my house and fixed the location a couple hours later.

No company’s operations are smooth all the time. I believe the sign of a good one is how they fix errors. I was very happy with their response and will order again. I’ve always been happy with the product.

Product is fine, but specified to be put in the back yard. Wrote it in the initial order, reiterated it in the email confirming delivery, mentioned the gate. Clearly marked out the area with signs/arrows, etc. Completely full bag that requires a forklift to move was then dumped in my front driveway. This is causing hours and hours of more work as we had to then go buy a wheelbarrow and now have to shovel and cart dozens of wheelbarrows through the lane.

Had the worst service. Paid for my order and loading it in the truck and they came running out and said we can’t let you shop here. Insisted on giving me a refund and sending me off to shop elsewhere. I guess this local independent small business does not need our business. Don’t waste your time going here.

Update: a few clicks east at garden works (a bc owned company) bought the exact same product no hassle and 1/2 the cost

Reasonable price (per yard) and decent delivery fee. TJ is super friendly and patient. Excellent customer service. As a small customer, just looking for some soil for home gardening I felt very comfortable going here.

Had a rather negative experience yesterday. Went to pick up some turf soil and when I got home I discovered that it wasn’t the product described on the website with 50% sand. I called to check in - the person said they would call back in 2 min and never did. I went to the location and the counter staff was very rude, argued with me, and told me it did have 50% sand (which was clearly incorrect). He then called his manager and told him I “was agitated” right in front of me (I probably was - I don’t like being lied to). The manager then told me I was right, the website needed updated, and the mix had been changed to meet the needs of some contractors. He then made it right by adding sand.

So the 2 stars is for the combo of very bad service but the manager and another employee making it right. Still - I probably won’t be back as I get great service and product elsewhere. Just a bit farther drive.

Absolutely phenomenal service. Called the number and was guided through purchasing decisions. Every time I called with a question I was treated kindly and got the answers I needed. My delivery was VERY tricky (fences, power lines, glass overhangs) and they went above and beyond to get the bags in my yard, on time. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

We've used this company several times over the last 3 years, as we built our garden and hardscape the yard, from scratch. The last delivery (a few day ago), the delivery person had a complex unload due to our truck being 'in the way'. We feel horrid we didn't move the truck in time, but didn't expect such an early delivery time. Hats off to the skill of this delivery person, and placing the bags exactly where we wanted!
