I had a disappointing experience at the friendship center. We visited to donate several brand new items, including a $130 Skims dress that I had never worn, a $50 Aerie bodysuit with tags still attached, and many other nice clothes. an older woman named Barb, shouted at my younger brother as he was bringing in the donations. She angrily exclaimed, “We aren’t taking donations right now; I don’t have time to sort through them, I’m dealing with the homeless,” before rolling her eyes and shutting the door. How were we supposed to know that? We drove an hour out of our way to contribute positively, only to be treated as if we were doing something wrong. It was truly disheartening. While I can understand her inability to accept donations at that moment, I cannot comprehend her rudeness and the impression that we were a significant burden. We decided to take our donations elsewhere and will not be returning to that center. It’s ironic that it’s called “the friendship center.” This isn’t the first instance of encountering her unkindness; I had hoped she was just having a bad day previously, but it seems that her demeanor is consistently unpleasant, at least towards my family and me. I was initially reluctant to write a review, but after sharing my experience online, I received feedback from several individuals—some of whom I know personally—who have also encountered her aggressive behavior. They informed me that this seems to be her consistent demeanor. Given that others are facing similar treatment. I am quite disappointed to say the least.

They have an amazing team. I always feel welcome furthermore if I need help they are always there with a smile. They give so much to the community, like jacket and snow gear for kids, food for people in need, assistance with resumes, and most of all printers 🖹 lol 😁 thank you Barb C. And the friendship center team. I probably owe you a couple hundred sheets of paper and a gallon of ink lol 😆

Awesome place they have 2 small stores. One for selling donations and one for selling items made by Native creators. They also have soup & bannock on Fridays, a Food Bank, many other programs, and they help the homeless. Such a kind and loving place!
