We visited Niemi Family Farm for their Scandinavian Christmas Market and Village. We arrived at 12:15 on Saturday, 15 minutes after opening, and it was already super busy. It took us some time to find a parking spot but we were able to find parking on the farm grounds.

We had pre-purchased tickets online for the paid Children's Christmas Village area where you can visit with Santa Claus. The paid area had enough things to do and see to make it worth the ticket price. The children were excited to visit Santa and to ride the Christmas "train". They also had cookie decorating, a few farm animals, a couple face-in-the-hole photo ops, bonfire, and some play equipment.

We enjoyed this part of the farm. It was far less busy than the free Christmas Market area. We didn't buy anything from the Christmas Market we just looked around. It was quite crowded. We'd probably skip this part in the future and just visit the paid Children's Christmas Village instead.

It was a fun experience, very magical, great activity to spend time with the family (Kids and elderly) I love the festive atmosphere, especially the indoor market. Lots of things to see, eat, vendors are friendly. My boy love the wooden toy, can’t get his hands off it. I love the essence oil/massage oil, found a nice cheese board for my hubby. And found a gem here, specialty food, buckwheat gluten free pasta that’s very delicious, they even offer some noodles and tea samples here and we loved it. Very healthy gift for my parents. Last but not least, the chilly sauce is made by some famous chef, it’s super delicious.
As for the parking issues, we’ve waited for a bit to get in. It’s like any other shopping malls right before Xmas. I’ve waited longer at Yorkdale Mall. 😅 I would suggest to come earlier when they open, or an hour before they closes on Saturday to avoid the wait time. Apparently they are open on Dec 18/19/20/21, so best time to go there is on the weekdays if possible.
We didn’t get to do any of the other activities last weekend, but we may go back again to do it next few days when it’s less crowded. It’s not cheap, but it’s once of a lifetime, and my kid wants to do it… so it’s worth for that experience… I’ll probably get more gifts there too…

Niemi Family Farm is a must visit every year especially during the holidays.

All the staff, workers and vendors are always in the happiest spirit while being out in the cold all day long.

The farm is pet friendly! I brought my 6 month year old puppy and he did not have a problem walking around. This place more than enough space for dogs to walk around comfortable on a leash.

I must say, if you’re looking for a nice Christmas market with your partner or family , definitely visit.

Went to the Niemi Farm Christmas Market for the first time last year - wow! Like a European one. So magical ☃️ 😍. Great vendors. Wonderful festive vibe. They also have a garden center with a bakery & ice cream. Stopped in yesterday & bought beautiful plants, yummy braided cinnamon raisin bread & scones. Worth the trip. I'll be back again and again!

Such a lovely place filled with beautiful flowers and plants. We bought some tomatoes and they were fresh and delicious. Would love to come back later this year to check out their Christmas Market. Dog friendly.

We drove over an hour to go to this Christmas market and I was so disappointed. There was nothing really Christmasy about it, not like the pictures made it out to be. DO NOT pay to go into the Christmas land and the magical train ride. It was a 3 minute loop around the backyard of the farm where we saw parked cars and some horses and got choked by diesel fumes from the tractor that pulls you. The play set was not very safe, there was 3 alpacas and a sheep in the animal area that were behind 2 barriers so no petting. For $60 there was nothing there for kids or anyone to do and if you wanted to roast smores that was additional money.
The market didn't have much and what was there was very pricey, even the food. The bakery was pretty much sold out, there was no soup available and we spent longer standing in line to pay for the food then we did at the Christmas land. It was insanely busy and we had to park on the side of a very busy road with cars zipping by at 80km plus so be mindful of that as well if you have kids or it's nighttime. It just didn't live up to the Christmas vibe that the site would have you believe.

For a delightful experience, I recommend trying the breads at the bakery – they're a perfect blend of warmth and flavor, making your night market visit truly memorable.

Absolutely love this place and have already been here twice in the last two weeks! I was truly blown away by how big this market is and how much there is to do and see. I was thinking it would take me an hour to get through it but each time, I ended up spending half the day there. My highlights/top recommendations:
- get some fresh sourdough; the best of its kind!
- see the alpacas, they’re adorable!
- get delicious fries from the chip truck
- cheesecake in a jar is a must!
The staff and vendors are so lovely and helpful. The market is thoughtfully organized, there are so many great gift options if you’re shopping for others, and it’s so beautiful!
Will definitely be back again before Christmas and highly recommend!
