Superb quality of meat, steaks and burgers were delicious.
Not the cheapest, but quality is way better than most (so far the best for me) butchers in Toronto midtown and downtown area.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I've taken 2 stars off, but during the last several times I've ordered, it was well packed and way more organized, 5 stars restored, well deserved.

I have been purchasing sandwiches here for years. The chicken sandwiches on occasion have had bones and cartilage in the sandwich. My Saturday purchase had a lot of cartilage and bones. I physically went to their Yonge Street location and showed them the photos. I asked for the manager but was directed to a young man who couldn’t care less. He said that it happens because they pull apart the chicken by hand and they will “try to do better next time”. No apology or compensation was offered. I have never written a negative review. Most businesses treat their customers with respect. I am appalled by the attitude of a business that I frequented.

I immediately gave management my contact information and they never responded. No effort was made on their part. Unfortunately I will never shop there again.

Bought five chicken sausages on May 9. As the photo indicates they were leaking out of the casing ends. I sent Olliffe’s an email about it. Didn’t receive a reply. This is not satisfactory. I’ll now shop for protein elsewhere.

I was quite disappointed last time I went for actual fresh meat - I asked for two filet mignons about an inch to an inch and a half and was charged about 17.00 for them (great price right?!). the man assisting me did not ask any clarifying answers. I had ordered several items so I did not see when I got home (and they had not packaged it in front of me). To my surprise they were these little medallion size steaks about an inch and a half in diameter, not an inch thick! And! Two very different types of beef (the marbling in one was close to wagyu look and the other had one or two veins running through). Ended up going to the grocery store so we could eat supper.

I expected more knowledge and communication on the part of the staff for the prices you pay, and the high quality they advertise. You need to trust that the person behind the counter knows what they are doing and will communicate to get the type of meat you would like, and trust that they understand the systems in place to charge you the correct amount.

3 inches of steak - who knows what they actually punched in to the scale to get the price I got.

Do not order from this place. While the product quality may be fine, their business practices are not ok. I placed an order after seeing a price of $16 per pound online, but when the delivery arrived, I was charged double—$32 per pound. When I called the store, the staff simply said, "Oh yes, the prices online are not correct." This lack of transparency is unacceptable. It's not just about the price discrepancy, but about how poorly they manage customer expectations and communication. This was a completely frustrating and disappointing experience.

Just moved to toronto from Alberta. Wasn't sure about this place because of the inconsistent reviews, we tried it anyway, 2 just about 2 pound porterhouse steaks and boy were we disappointed. Sorry guys. Sean is definitely a great guy and the store is well set up, but we spent 100ish $$$ and ended up with really poor quality beef.

UPDATE 05/28/2024: The store manager ended up calling me and apologizing for the mistake in pricing on the website and honoured the original price I paid by giving me a refund and also offering me a couple of free tenderloins next time I come in. I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars because that is truly quality customer service that I don't see anymore, in addition to the cuts of meat being wonderful. I'm glad the store is taking accountability for their mistakes. I still have deducted one star because they really need to update their website with current pricing and until they do, I'm sure they're going to keep facing the same issue with other customers.

Absolute robbery. Placed an order online for pick up and when I came to pick up my order (which was originally $206) and they told me the price on the website was “wrong” and that my actual total was $256. If your website is wrong then take it down. This is false and misleading advertising and I’m surprised your shop is still in business with these kind of unethical practices.
