I have been there many time and there selection of items is outstanding however some of the staff can be very rude. Today I was in there with a friend and at the till I was lightheartedly joking to my friend about who should pay and the older lady at the till out of no where threatened to punch me and not in a joking manor. We were both taken back and left wondering what her problem was. My friend later speculated that perhaps given her age she resented having to work and that maybe is why she was so bad. Albertsons on the other end of town may not have as big of selection but the staff are awesome.

I’ve gone in multiple times and the gentleman working the paint counter always goes above and beyond; helping me pick the right shade, sharing knowledge about different projects etc.. Its nice to see someone that genuinely cares about their work.

Went in to buy a camping stove.

Leo followed me around the store after asking twice if I needed help, I was in the store for 2 minutes, he took my item to the cashier to hold it there while I shop, then asked me to leave and said no looky Loo's, he was very rude, I felt discriminated against, I will never return to that level of unprofessionalism.

Go anywhere else if you want to be treated with decency.

This store is AMAZING!! For its size they put so much in and whatever you need they have. Staff are outstanding and ever friendly and helpful. Bought a specialty wheelbarrow wheel (which they had in stock) and it needed the special manufacturer bolts which do not come with the wheel. Often have to be special ordered from the national supplier. But, a number of staff assisting me, they found the correct bolts I walked out fully equipped to install a new wheel and get to gardening. The staff assistance was above and beyond. Shop local, support our community and walk out with a content smile on your face. Thank you TEAM Parksville Home Hardware!!

Went in this afternoon to purchase some containers with my 7 year old daughter. Part way through shopping she needed to use the bathroom. When asked they told us they don t have a customer bathroom and sent us to the chevron across the busy street. I have used their bathroom in the past. When I went up to pay for the merchandise they told me they didn’t have staff to clean it. What a load of garbage! Who cleans up after the staff?!? As an owner of a business i find this outrageous. Yes keep your bathroom locked to avoid weirdos but to not allow a customer that is clearly shopping use is another thing. What a joke. Will not be back and will be emailing head quarters!
