Words cannot express how thankful I am for the kind and compassionate support I have received from Penhold Medical Clinic. The receptionist provided guidance and understanding on a phone call at a time when I was frustrated with navigating the health care system. She booked me an intake apt and the doctors who I have seen to date have been excellent- attentive, supportive and kind. Most importantly; both doctors I received care from provided a professionalism for which I have not experienced in a very long time. A fantastic clinic with knowledgeable (kind) professionals. Advertised as a walk-in clinic but turned away my 9 month old. Phoned several times with no answer before going in, receptionist was ignorant and told us to go wait in emergency instead stating they are not a walk in clinic.
Highly suggest removing the "walk in" advertisment on your social media.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience today! From reception to the doctors assistant to the doctor himself. It was a 5-star experience. I was so, so happy to actually be listened to, heard, and respected. Thank you so much for this refreshing visit!

This is now the 2nd time I have booked an appt for my daughter for a phone appt and they've neglected to do their job correctly and put them as in clinic appts after specifically stating I want a phone call. Reception was rude and now for the 2nd time have to wait ANOTHER 4 weeks for a CHILD to see a doctor. This clinic is ridiculous. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I haven’t needed to visit this clinic for well over 6 years. However, had to seek medical advice today for my child. From the time I phoned reception this morning to when we left our appointment, each staff member my children & I encountered was very friendly, caring & informative.

It's a great clinic, the receptionist is always helpful and really nice, however the dr. that I saw today was so rude. Not the clinics fault whatsoever, but this is not the first bad experience I've had with Dr. Hendrik Van Rooyen. When I told him what I was experiencing, he grabbed the bridge of his nose and shook is head like I was being ridiculous. I treated my symptoms at home and gave it more than a few weeks (more like 2 months) before seeing a doctor. He made me feel like an absolute idiot. Again, clinic was amazing, the doctor today was extremely rude and very unprofessional.

Doctors are ok (hit and miss) but the receptionist should not work with the public in any capacity little less with those who need medical care. The first time I wrote it off as her having a bad day, but she has been miserable for years. The new receptionist is great, just wish she replaced the old one.

Dr. Christensen and his receptionist were awesome with removing an earring that was embedded in my ear. Both were very compassionate and super helpful with the removal. Again, thank you so much! Definitely didnt mind the wait as I know that the treatment received was well worth it.
