Terrible service here at Co-op North saanich. On May 8th 2025. Employees are just horrible service. It was just us and no one else than two cars came after us. Only helped the two cars that had came after us and we waited for anyone to help pump our gas. Not one person bothered to come help. Just terrible.

This is what all neighborhood stations should be. I needed a big socket at work, my guy didn't show up, so I borrowed it from the service station! No problem, found the socket and rachet and let me borrow it. Didn't even ask when I'd bring it back. That's trust In your fellow man woman in my case, I did leave a deposit but it never would have replaced the tools.
So niebourhood stations are there for you the shell and esso stations won't even let you borrow a gas can.

Some how managed to lose my gas cap. I put my trust in them to do the simple job of filling my gas tank and because my vehicle is old it doesn't have a tank flap to keep the fuel in there without a gas cap, I ended up driving all the way back to Victoria leaking fuel down the side of my car. The gentlemen I spoke to on the phone said I would have to drive back out there the same day for a reimbursement. Why should I have to spend my time and now even more fuel to correct your mistake?

You should get rid of full service, its an outdate thing that very few people want. Its uncomfortable to have someone else fill my tank, especially when they do a worse job then I would.

Deep Cove - Sunday November 5th 3:25 pm management watch your employees glued to their phones didn’t ask 3 of four cars if they needed anything, waited until everyone was already out serving themselves, I worked here 15 years ago and there was a standard of service, the deep cove stations short hours lots of staff that stand behind the counter
Might as well have one person and make it self serve, give your head a shake

Went to Co-op today to pick up a few groceries. I decided to use the self check out, what a horrible experience! To start with you have to select that you brought your own bags. Now you have to wait for a staff person to come and verify you have your own bags and key in a code to allow you to continue. Once the bag police make sure you aren't stealing a freaking paper bag you can start scanning your purchases. Through-out my transaction twice the system stopped and I had to wait for an employee to come and key in a code verifying I had my own bag. What an incredible waste of time, for me and the staff, all to verify repeatly that I had my own bags. Apparently the Co-op is more concerned about the theft of paper bags than they are about good customer shopping experiences.
