I placed a small order of chicks this spring, the ordering process was easy, communication was clear and my order was ready for pick on time. I really appreciate the variety of breeds available. My chicks are lively and growing!

Updating a former five star rating after a few years. Unfortunately won't be purchasing my chicks from PP anymore due to strict "policy" in providing variety of chicks to small flock, backyard chicken owners.

I have referred a number of people to PP over the years but it seems customer service has taken a back seat to convenience.

I ordered 20 chicks - 4 varieties - all male. All of them were healthy and happy. They all survived to maturity without issue. A couple ended up being hens, but that's to be expected and didn't bother me at all. I even ended up with an extra chick in the box. Pick-up couldn't have gone any smoother. I do wish it was possible to contact by phone rather than exclusively through email, but I imagine the volume of calls would be overwhelming so I understand why it is done this way. All in all, very happy and will gladly do business with PP again.

Great selection of birds, easy on-line ordering system. Communication through e-mail was clear and concise. Pick up day couldn't have gone any smoother. We drove for 3+ hours to get there and our birds were ready to go in less than 15 minutes. Lovely, healthy chicks. Website says day olds, ours were closer to 5 days but that's fine!

Ordered a few years ago and chicks were healthy but some of my order wasn't available so I was refunded. Not thrilling after driving 5 hours. This year I placed my order in Feb, but when I picked up my order I was informed that my goslings weren't available and I would be refunded. The chicks I got were healthy, but even though I didn't hope for show quality these chicks don't conform to standards for the breed, some missing toes and muffs, and all have poor body shape/stance. I emailed regarding this a week ago and haven't received a reply. Nor have I received a refund for the missing goslings.

I've been ordering from PP since 2012 and have always had an excellent experience and received healthy birds. Their website and ordering process is great. Sometimes they take a while to return calls/emails, but that's because they are only a couple people who do this mainly on the side and are busy. Jason is a vet tech I believe and is always answering my questions by email. Very knowledgeable! I recommend!

We ordered many years back and the customer service was not good. We hoped that it was a one time thing. Tried to do an order again this year. They will not answer phone calls, and emails are answered on occasion. After we received our order we had questions about some birds shorted but no answer and haven’t received credit or funds back for the shorted birds. The birds seem to be clearly ordered in and flipped as they were more than day olds and had feathers coming. Communication and customer service is almost non existent.
Liked the varieties so hope if we order again they do better on our next order.
