There are 2 markets in Peterborough, with some if the same vendors at both. I guess it's convenient for walkers but 1 larger one might be better for drivers. Nothing really special to be had

The downtown farmers market is such a treat, especially if you're working nearby. My favourite place for lunch during the week, great selections and you can pick up some fresh vegetables (and meat if you're interested) for dinner at the same time. Vendors are all very lovely this year - great crowd!

The Peterborough Downtown Farmer's Market is the most beautiful way to connect with local business owners, local agricultural leaders and delicious produce! It's become a Wednesday tradition for me and my family for over 15 years. Everything from the baked goods to the fresh fruits are always mouthwatering! The farmers and salespeople are always welcoming, friendly and so very gracious with their products. A perfect experience for the whole family.

Small market but the pirogies made it entirely worth the trip! Yummy baked goods as well. I purchased honey from otonabee honey but the seller was extremely rude. She was very polite to the customers before me but instantly changed when she served me. I don’t normally leave negative reviews but she seemed discriminatory unfortunately.

I can't say enough good things about the Peterborough Farmer's Market. The selection here is only out done buy the quality and freshness of the produce. The local vendors are so friendly and willing to offer advice and suggestions on things to try. These markets help the actual farmers rather than the big grocery stores. It also provides a great sense of helping your local community.
