The flyer was intriguing but the things that were “on sale” weren’t actually on sale despite the flyer & signage. Their produce selection was nice, but everything else was lack luster, overpriced & just not the vibe. This is not a great store if you’re shopping on a budget.

Terrible customer service.
1. I don’t usually shop here, visited the store only to buy the Pasta on sale for $1. An old guy named RON (heard someone calling him) was rude and treated me in a very disrespectful way when I was searching for the item.

2. The old lady cashier doesn’t even know how to deal with customers. I noticed that the only two things came from her mouth was the question about the points card and about the receipt. No hai, hello or thank you to anyone.

Start treating customers more friendly and learn that a customer is always a customer regardless of the number of items they buy !!!

Why when it was originally called Valuemart long before it was switched to being called Peter’s your independent grocer I might not have remembered why we didn’t return and go back there years after what happened they were the Dora the explorer fruit snacks that were shaped like the characters from that show but shaped like how other fruit snacks are like but the other guy we never returned and went back to there years after that happened and I didn’t remember at a point and time of my life when I wouldn’t have remembered too long ago for me to have remembered. When it was originally called Peter’s valuemart but not saying your independent grocer back way before it first was called Your independent grocer we didn’t go we weren’t driven the car from Baba turning the steering wheel to drive and take us to there and we didn’t walk to there without Baba either no long walks with Baba in his wheelchair to sit in and him being pushed to go on like and older version of a stroller way older . For a while we weren’t going to both Pc stores that sold Pc products so and we weren’t buying any we didn’t go to Real Canadian superstore or certainly and definitely not Valuemart . So for a while we weren’t buying any products owned by and produced by Pc . I did wonder why we didn’t go back and return to there for years because it happened at a period of time in my life when I wouldn’t have remembered so well . So I did wonder why we didn’t go back to there or didn’t shop there for years since the Dora the explorer shaped characters fruit snacks so that was why we didn’t go back and return to there for years after that happened there . We didn’t return I definitely wondered why we didn’t go back and return to there for years . That was the reason why we didn’t go back and return to there for years . because I might have wondered it why we weren’t going back to there for years because I liked Dora the explorer stuff back then . we certainly and definitely didn’t go to Valuemart anymore . and for sure didn’t go hadn’t gone back to Valuemart yet in years . We definitely hadn’t shopped again at Valuemart. at the grocery store Valuemart .

Me and my friends went into this store and not even one minute passes by and we got kicked out. I will explain why. We came in and my friend made a funny joke so we all laughed. I do admit we were laughing a bit loud. A red shirted male with no hair decided to tell us to stop fooling around even though we weren’t. He then kicked us out and told us to go back to the play ground because apparently that is where we belong according to him. My friends and I were also actually looking for something and he came to us and didn’t even give us one straw. In our experience we got kicked out and we got disrespected. I will not be coming again.

Just came home to have dinner after leaving Peter's took two bites & realized there was no chicken in my Crispy Chicken Burger. Guess there's a 1st time for everything.

*4 stars cause the meats are always fresh & the store is very organized/clean

The great thing about this store is the staff. Always friendly and helpful.

I've given this store 2 stars however because the owners have suspended the staff discount, which I find outrageous. As part of a billion dollar corporation (Loblaws/Galen Weston), and owners of a very profitable store, I would expect the staff to be treated with greater respect. There is no way that withholding the staff discount from wonderful and deserving employees hurts the owners bottom line.

In a time when Canadians, including store employees, are already struggling with the wildly inflated cost of groceries (yoohoo, Galen), I find this move by the owners/management beyond reprehensible. I hope that the owners return the staff discount and recognize and appreciate their staff more - they are what keeps me coming to this store.

Today I saw an action - two packs of chips for $ 7. I took a photo of the price tag. At the checkout they wanted to take more than $ 9 from me. When I called the staff to the counter with the goods, the price tag was gone. I showed them a price tag photo. The saff said it wasn’t from their store. Scammers!
