Piller’s liverwust smells like benzocaine (oragel anesthetic), not old, not spoiled. Between “flavor” and “spice extractives”, something is very bad.
I’ll end with the let-go expression, “Good luck in your future endeavours” Piller’s.

The deli meats were affordable pre Covid. What happened. 150g of unhealthy processed meats for $7-$9. It was $1.99. Inflation was down but Pillar deli meats still at 8% inflation prices.

Regarding online orders: Being a fan of on the go snacks, I discovered that you can order pepperoni sticks and salami directly from them. And I LOVE IT! Delivery is always fast and well packed. Stores don't always have the whisps and I can always find them here. So happy!

The pepperoni sticks recipe changed. The taste and texture is different now. It's like eating wax. More fillers and less meat I guess. I stopped buying them.

Hands down, the most authentic European tasting salami I've been able to get my hands on in North America. It's absolutely fantastic! It's too bad it isn't easier to come by here on the East Coast of the United States.

I found that Pillers was far beyond any other cold cuts, both in quality and value, and then they changed their packaging to this thick plastic that you need a chainsaw to get through. Not only does the thick plastic make it very difficult to get your meat in and out, but it doesn't stay as fresh.
I guess its time to go back to deli meats. Very disappointed.

I love the flavour of the sausage itself. My complaint is about the casing used to hold the meat......like chewing on plastic. Ive purchased these sausages 2wice at Costco. Im guessing there must be a reason for such tough casings, so, I BBQed them until the skin was almost black and that made the skin crisp, however, we wont BBQ in the winter just to make the skins edible, therefore, we wont be buying them anymore.

Their snow-removal services are BS. Live near here and construction snow-ploughs do the entire lot by pretty much reversing with loud beeping light waking up family time and time again at 3 in the morning. I will go out of my way not to buy their product. (I do realise that this has nothing to do with the product of their meat so go ahead and buy if you wish) Company does not take neighbourhood/community consideration in mind.
