On a blustery, grey January day, after a much-needed coffee stop, I found myself irresistibly drawn into Plant Gather—and wow, am I glad I followed that nudge! Stepping inside felt like walking into a little oasis of life, warmth, and green magic. Instantly, my mood lifted.

Now, let’s be honest… my track record as a plant parent is, well, questionable at best. Some of my previous leafy friends have, let’s just say, self-selected to move on from this world. So, I walked in not just looking for new plants, but for hope.

The incredible plant lady (seriously, she’s like the Yoda of greenery) took the time to listen, educate, and set me up for success. She guided me toward plants that actually stand a chance in my care—ones with a strong will to live, even under my less-than-perfect parenting. Her advice was top-notch, and I walked out confident that my four new plant companions just might thrive.

Now, my home office looks happier, I feel happier, and who knows? Maybe this is the start of a new era of plant survival in my home. 🌱

Before the door could even close behind me I knew it was a bad idea to come here! Haha. This place is paradise!!

I had a great chat with the owner, about how his opportunity to open this store fell into his hands in such a timely way. He’s knowledgeable, clearly curious and interested in his own work, patient, and lovely. He mentioned he had a lot of plants in quarantine that were just about ready to come out, and honestly, I’m glad I wasn’t there to see them - both because I’ve run out of space for plants in suitable windows at home and because there was already so much good stuff to see!

I managed to escape with only one small babe, but a special one nonetheless: a lovely philodendron white princess he had safe in a glass cabinet near the desk. I’ve had her home a few weeks now, she seems to have acclimated well and already has some new growth on the way!

Plant Gather is awesome!!! Their selection is every plant lover’s dream! I always find myself going back to browse and check the new plants!! I went in a while ago looking for a Manjula pothos. Kaitie helped me out, and she was great! She acclimated one for me within my budget. She let me know when it was ready and gave me plenty of care tips when I picked it up!! It’s my #1 favourite plant in my collection!!

They have a lot of cool rare plants and varieties, everything looks really good and they're really knowledgeable about them 🌿

I used mainly plants from here in my frog vivarium, I was able to find the ones i was looking for, and the glass frogs are always sleeping on the syngonium I got 🙂

By far the BEST plant store in Kelowna. Huge selection of rare and imported plants at very reasonable prices. Lots of cute pots and other planty things. Matt the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend going here

Visited this little shop over the weekend and I’m so glad that we did! Matt was friendly and knowledgeable and has an incredible collection of beautiful and rare plants in all sizes.

I picked up a healthy Monstera Adansonii. Matt gave me the rundown on care and made sure that it was safe and secure for the long drive home.

I will definitely visit again the next time that I am in Kelowna. Also looking forward to checking out their online selection because they ship!!
